Under the guise of ‘not your ordinary pizza place,’ Krusta Amsterdam recently opened its doors. The name Krusta stands for the crispy crust that makes their pizzas so great, but this place offers more: dining in a cosy atmosphere, unique cocktails, and the most original dishes from Southern European cuisine.

Why you want to visit Krusta Amsterdam

Krusta Amsterdam is one of those places you didn’t know you were missing, but you can’t live without after the first visit. Those who dine out often in the Rivierenbuurt might encounter familiar faces; the owners also have Kaia, a Greek restaurant nearby.

The white stone oven is visible from all corners of the restaurant, allowing guests to enjoy the chef’s skill in preparing the freshly made pizzas. The interior is colourful and inviting. Additionally, the designer furniture gives the space a high-end atmosphere—almost as if you’re transported abroad for a moment.

The special menu at Krusta

The menu of Krusta Amsterdam consists of pizzas, but that’s not the only thing they excel in. Their excellent cacio e pepe pasta transports your taste buds to Italy. The bruschetta with eggplant cream is a blend of Italian cuisine and the Greek heritage of the owner; he ensures that the dishes are a mix of the best that Southern Europe has to offer. And if you’re looking for an original dish, try the pizza with gorgonzola and pear or the Beef Stifado pasta. Regarding desserts, the chefs have made it difficult for their guests. The pistachio baklava is incomparable to others; the same goes for the tiramisu. The fact that everything is made in-house (even the sourdough bread) makes it even more delicious. Add the unique cocktails (the extensive menu), and you have an evening to remember.
