The outer corner of the Rivierenbuurt has gained a new hotspot: Kaia Amsterdam, the destination for authentic Greek cuisine. Don’t expect the souvlaki you buy on the street corner, but rather high-end dishes with a Greek-fusion touch that you won’t find anywhere else. And we haven’t even mentioned the exceptional interior yet…

Kaia Amsterdam

With the arrival of Kaia Amsterdam, our capital city gained a unique hotspot. The modern Greek restaurant-bar takes its business seriously, transforming dining into a ‘sacred affair.’

Menu Kaia

Kaia’s menu is a blend of modern and classic. Greek dishes that have lasted for thousands of years with a modern fusion twist. A typical case of we didn’t know we needed it, but that need certainly exists now. The lunch menu features a few old favorites: from a Greek salad to carpaccio, with a cool twist.

Dinner at Kaia is also an elegant affair, with a concise menu. The four main courses change regularly, and there’s always something for everyone: from celeriac to cod and lamb – all prepared with originality and authentic Greek flavors.

Interieur Kaia

Kaia’s interior is not what you would expect from a Greek restaurant. No columns, hints of ancient ruins, or references to Greek gods. Rather, it’s understated, fitting the quiet luxury aesthetic that is trending now. Furthermore, everything has been meticulously thought out: the tableware, table linens, decor – everything is well-considered and cared for down to the smallest details. The overall atmosphere might even have a touch of Scandinavian influence but with a warm, homely feeling. And precisely in this aspect, the Greek culture comes into play again.
