Weekend in Amsterdam: 5 tips for March 14, 15, 16 & 17

➊ Tuig van de Tichel pop-up weekender

You have probably seen it on Yourlbb, because we support the men of Tuig van de Tichel with a lot of love. This unique shop in the Jordaan is now going in a new direction and this weekend we can get a taste of that (literally and figuratively). After two years of having Tuig as a ‘traditional store’, it was time for something new. They are organizing the first Tuig Pop-Up Shop on March 15, 16 and 17. For the first edition, a selection has been made of 15 makers/products/importers/which can be divided into ‘drinkable’, ‘spicy’ and ‘beautiful stuff’. Think beautiful champagnes and wines, cool items and spicy sauces. Will we see you there?

 | save the date: THANK GOD, IT’S MONDAY | WOODFORD RESERVE & DOOR 74 PRESENT: NEW & OLD FASHIONED

The worlds of fashion and bourbon collide on March 18. And the two have more in common than one might think. Where fashion is more than what you see, whiskey is more than you taste. That’s why Door 74 is revamping their Monday with Fleur Bravenboer from Flora Bandana. Together they designed a unique fashion item. Anyone who orders a cocktail in the bar will receive this limited edition design that Bravenboer personalizes on the spot. Does it continue as a bandana, scarf or pochette? Door 74 | Reguliersdwarsstraat 74 Time: 6 – 12 PM Click here for more info  >>

➋ Shopping & eating at the museum market

Every third Sunday of the month, the exhibitors of the Museum Market offer their creations during this always pleasant and fun market. Nice for a stroll, a picnic in nice weather and enjoying the delicious food and drinks from the market stalls. And do you also feel like experiencing culture? Then go to the beautiful Rijksmuseum or go for modern art in the Stedelijk. The market is free and accessible from 10 AM to 6 PM. Click here for more info >>

➌ Are you a treasure hunter? Go to a flea market!

There’s nothing more fun than finding unique items for your home or wardrobe. And where better to do that than at a good flea market? We selected 2 options for you:

From 9:00 am to 4:30 pm you will find the most beautiful pearls and gadgets here. Buying tickets in advance is useful! Then you continue like this. Click here for more info >>
  • Levenslang Flea Market: Levenslang in the former Bijlmerbajes is a new place to discover music, art and cuisines. The old boiler room of the ex-prison was built to last, impressive in character and acoustics. On March 16 & 17 you can visit their flea market with vinyls, jewelry, art, music gear and clothing from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets cost €12.50. Click here for more info >>
