➊ Go to the bottemless Brunch at Celia
Calling all brunch lovers! On Saturday and Sunday there is only one place you want to go for the ultimate weekend feeling and that is the Bottomless Brunch at Celia. Brunch is one of the favorite meals of the week for a reason. As far as we are concerned, this pampering combination of breakfast and lunch can last all afternoon! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and imagine yourself in Palm Springs with the 70’s design of fresh citrus colors and Celia’s Californian brunch menu. Add the bottomless option to that, and voila! Let the brunch party begin. Join us between 12.30 and 3.30 pm and taste the delicious new brunch menu. Whether you go for the egg royal, crispy chicken sandwich or the beloved cinnamon bun french toast, Celia has something for everyone – all with a table full of cocktails. You can also go for fresh salmon and breakfast bagels, refreshing kale salads, and airy blueberry pancakes. Those who want to go for the boozy option can enjoy themselves for 90 minutes with unlimited prosecco, mimomas and bloody marys from the menu. All dishes can be ordered à la carte. The bottomless option is € 25,-.

Timo de Beurs is a former chef and owner of the widely acclaimed Slagerij de Beurs. Raving reviews in all the major newspapers of the city made him the puff pastry king of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, Slagerij de Beurs was not granted a long life and closed its doors at the beginning of this year due to the corona measures. Now Timo is back with various pop-ups under the name ‘Labattoir de Timo’ and we are all very much looking forward to tasting his pâtés again. After 2 successful editions at Kikkie van de Prinsensluis and Wijnbar Compartir, it is now the turn to the originally largest pop-up restaurant in Amsterdam, BAUT. On Sunday 4 June they present: BAUT x Labattoir de Timo. Back-to-back, the chefs cook a 4-course menu and you will be surprised with a snack and shot to break the ice on this Sunday afternoon. Naturally, Timo de Beurs will serve his famous pâté en croute as an intermediate dish and he will be responsible for the dessert. BAUT is responsible for the starter, main course and the atmosphere on this Sunday afternoon.Expect a dynamic afternoon with fantastic food and fine wines. At Mooi, lunch is served on the terrace. Reservations are possible between 13:00 and 14:00. Click here for more info >>
➌ New rooftop bar at Pillows Maurits at the park
The opening of Fitz’s Rooftop Bar in the new Pillows is a fact! Here you go for a nice cocktail with a beautiful view over the city and the Oosterpark. Fitz’s Bar serves drinks with a story. Located in Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits on the Park, you can imagine yourself in a luxurious rooftop bar in London or Paris. The five-star feeling is extended to the bar, which is certainly worth a visit inside. A nice place for the office drinks this week? Also great for date night ;) Click here for more info >>
➍ The Pulitzer garden is open again
Pulitzer Garden is tucked away amidst all the bustle of the city; a green retreat surrounded by the characteristic canal houses of Pulitzer Amsterdam with a view of the iconic Westertoren. With the long sunny days approaching, doors to the gardens have reopened. At the picturesque Pulitzer Garden you can imagine yourself in an idyllic hideaway with a typical Amsterdam character and ditto decor. The garden with a sunny terrace is surrounded by the 25 canal houses that make up Pulitzer Amsterdam and forms the lively heart of the hotel. The Mediterranean-influenced menu includes dishes such as eggplant parmigiana, lobster spaghetti and pistachio cannoli. There is an easy-going atmosphere and the comfortable garden settings invite you to take a well-deserved break from the busy daily life. Pulitzer Garden is open every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. ➎ Sunday Pika market at westergas
Because it’s finally summer this month, the Sunday Market on June 4 is all about hot and tropical. In the special Pika Fest corner, the Dutch chilli community offers you the tastiest hot sauces, snacks and drinks and of course spicy music. You can also go shopping at the many beautiful stands and many live performances. The Markttheater is there with a nice performance and at Music at the Westerpark various bands will perform all afternoon; from jazz to salsa. You can also have your face painted, follow workshops and of course enjoy all the goodies from the different kitchens and old-fashioned commotion. Sunshine will be the finishing touch!
