Mount Teide is one of the most impressive sights on Tenerife. In Teide National Park, you will discover volcanic landscapes, spectacular viewpoints, and the highest mountain in Spain, perfect for hikes, stargazing, and a ride on the cable car.

What makes Tenerife so special is Mount Teide in Teide National Park. At 3715 meters, this mountain is the highest in Spain. The park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007. And as soon as you visit the park, you understand immediately why! The landscape is volcanic, the rock formations display the most fantastic colors, and you can also go stargazing there . If you love hiking and nature, then this park and the Masca Valley are must-visits.
When you stand on Mount Teide, you feel completely cut off from the outside world. But nothing could be further from the truth, because within two hours you can be back on the beach with a cocktail in your hand. Taking the cable car up is incredibly special. Do you really want to climb all the way to the top? You can do so with a strenuous climb of about 40 minutes. Don't forget to apply for a permit one to two months in advance.
