What Tenerife What makes Mount Teide so special is its location in Teide National Park. At 3718 meters, it's the highest mountain in Spain. The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. And the moment you visit, you'll understand why! The park boasts a volcanic landscape, and the rock formations display the most fantastic colors.

Standing on Mount Teide, you feel completely cut off from the outside world... But nothing could be further from the truth, because within two hours you can be back on the beach with a cocktail in your hand. It's incredibly cool to take the cable car up. If you really want to climb all the way to the top, it's a steep 40-minute climb! Don't forget to apply for a permit one or two months in advance.
