YAY! It’s gonna be an extra long weekend (thanks to Whitsun on Monday). This means more time for fun stuff – or just a lazy day! And luckily for you our lovely city has enough to offer again. Make sure to also check the Festival Guide 2015 with the coolest festivals to help you plan your summer. We listed 50 of them! – It’s here again! The Festival Guide of 2015 with the 50 coolest festivals from Amsterdam to Barcelona and back. So you don’t have to search the web anymore and you can just checkbox all the ones you like :-)
– This Sunday you can enjoy all sorts of delicious (local) food and drinks at the NeighbourFood Market at Westergasterrein.
– Have you heard of the new restaurant and bar Terpentijn yet? They serve delicious cocktails and street food. This is a must try!
– Good news for people who love to have a late breakfast! Teds just opened, and you can have brunch and spirited high tea’s here all day long!
– Bret is a new bar, restaurant and beer garden in Amsterdam West. A great place to have dinner or craft beers with friends this weekend.
– Rein has a second location at the Wibautstraat! This is the place to be for healthy smoothies, amazing salads, vegan burgers and more healthy food.
– In the mood for Chinese food and sushi? We recommend Restaurant Chi in Amsterdam South!
– Are you a whiskey fan? Then go try various sorts of whiskey at the J.D. Williams Whiskey Bar. Mixed with tasty bites such as sweet potato fries and spring rolls.
– If you want to have a nice cup of coffee then you have to visit Stooker this Saturday! Or visit this all time favourite: Two for Joy Coffee Roasters.

– This Friday is the official start of the Rooftop Movie Nights at Floor 17! Don’t have tickets yet? Make sure you order them fast cause their sold out until the beginning of June.
– Do you love classical music? Then you can visit Klassiek in de Loods on Saturday! A classical concert at Amsterdam Roest.
– On Sunday the second edition of streetfestival the Groene Boulevard takes place. This block party at the Wibautstraat is all about sustainability and a ecological lifestyle. Drop by for some biological food and drinks.
– Always wanted to take yoga classes? Then try out a class at the rooftop of the Volkshotel!
– This Saturday the Local Goods Market has a books, music & vintage special!
– On Friday the 22th of May De Fotoclub officially opens their first exposition at the Melkweg! (till June 28).
– There many different expo’s in the FOAM photo museum. Go to the first international solo exposition from Nerhol. This Japanese duo makes time lapse portraits out of a big amount of pictures, how cool is that! (till june 21). Or go to Broomberg & Chanarin (till June 6). Is the exposition of Geert Goiris on your wish list? This is the last weekend you can see Flashbulb Memories, Ash Grey Prophecies.
– This is also the last weekend for the publication of Terry O’neils new Rock ‘n’ Roll photo book at the Eduard Planting Gallery!
– Check out the exposition at the Tropenmuseum. Secret Love is a contemporary art exhibition about the taboo on homosexuality, lesbians, bisexuality and transgenders in China (till september 13).
– Also nice at the Tropenmuseum: Bodyart! This exhibit is all about body art from all over the world. Warning: you might want a tattoo after visiting ;-) (until August 30),
– Have you been to the World Press Photo exhibition in Amsterdam yet! A must see (till July 5th)!
– In the city archives of Amsterdam there is a cool exhibition with photos of Cor Jaring! This selfmade photographer is a true “Amsterdammer” and made several photo’s of rebellious activities in Amsterdam (till July 12th).
– The English design duo Jimmie Martin, famous for their special furniture, will open their first exposition in the Urban Art House Gallery Store in Amsterdam. Famous costumers are Kylie Minogue, Kelly Osbourne, Jamie Oliver and Madonna. Go and have a look! (from April 10 till June 30)
– Houseofproducts.nl gets it’s own pop up store! Now you can buy all their great products in real life (till june 28)!
– Great news for all sneakerfans! This weekend it’s time for Sneakerness. At this sneaker fair you’ll find exclusive sneakers, dj’s, cars and more.
– In need of a new festival outfit? At The Darling in the 9 streets you’ll definitely find something!
– Is your balcony summerproof already? At balcony-store De Balkonie you’ll find beautiful furniture and accessories for your balcony.
– Start your weekend at Komm Schon Alter at Het Sieraad. Last round tickets are still available at the door.
– You can party for two days at the Oeverlanden this weekend! On Saturday you can enjoy a Berlin-style festival: Park Am See. Still have enough energy left on Sunday? Then you can party at festival De Zon!
– Another festival you can go to on Saturday is Pacha Festival.– Did you go to these cool clubs in Amsterdam yet?! The Warehouse, Club Closure and Radion. They have great party’s every week!
