“What if we would reverse roles?” the founders of Wine Bar Vindict thought. Instead of selecting wines to pair with the food when dining out, they created a concept where the dinner is selected to complement the wines. And so it happened, as at Wine Bar Vindict, the primary focus is on the wine. Richard Dietz, Roderick Meijer, chef Samir Doueiri, and sommelier Jan-Jaap Altenburg opened Wine Bar Vindict in Amsterdam-Noord, which has since become the ultimate new hotspot for true wine enthusiasts.
Wine bar Vindict Amsterdam-Noord
Those familiar with the Jordaan area undoubtedly heard of Vindict. The wine shop is at the head of Elandsgracht, and now also has a second branch in Amsterdam-Noord. Richard and Roderick felt it was time for expansion, establishing their first wine bar in Amsterdam-Noord. All the wines featured on the menu have undergone a personal test by the entrepreneurs. Moreover, the wine list includes over a hundred wines of Dutch origin, available by the glass. They even offer homemade wine, produced in collaboration with Wijngoed Wolf from Brabant.
The interior of the wine bar exudes authenticity, a touch of rustic charm, and coziness, making it a suitable place not only for lazy summer evenings but also for spending chilly winter afternoons and evenings.

Menu wine bar Vindict
From Wednesday to Saturday, Wine Bar Vindict offers more than 800 different wines, with over 50 available to enjoy by the glass. The menu boasts dishes where Chef Samir brings out the purity of the ingredients. Starting at 4:00 PM, a small menu of snacks such as bread with butter, crostinis, Spanish croquetas, charcuterie, and cheeses is available. From 6:00 PM, the menu becomes more extensive, featuring dishes with both French and Dutch influences.
Despite the focus on wines, do not underestimate the quality of the dishes at Vindict. Roasted chiogga beets with feta, bone marrow, and a classic shrimp cocktail are just a few examples from their simple yet effective menu. At Vindict, they not only demonstrate the impact of good wines on your taste experience but also show how you can create fantastic dishes with relatively few ingredients that are a celebration on their own without taking away from the focus on the wines.
