The Spotted Pig New York for juicy steaks and more
Be prepared: the waiting time for a table at The Spotted Pig New York is usually very long. Luckily I have the perfect solution for you ;-). Cross the street and walk along W 11th Street. On the right side you can find the cosy wine bar Turks & Frogs, a perfect spot to sit down, have a wine and wait for your table at The Spotted Pig New York. If you’re feeling a little hungry, I can recommend you to order a nice mixed appetiser plate! Looking back at it I was actually glad we had to wait an hour at The Spotted Pig, otherwise I would’ve never discovered Turks and Frogs!
Back at The Spotted Pig in the West Village New York we (my brother and I) had a drink at the bar upstairs. There we met some super friendly Canadians (also a brother and a sister!) with whom we spend the rest of the night drinking ;-).
A very surprisingly fact about The Spotted Pig New York is that they have a Michelin-star! The concept is super cool, everywhere you can spot little pigs… and the food is tasty. However this restaurant with star is different to the other restaurants with star I’ve been in my life. For one reason, the food is affordable at The Spotted Pig ;-). You will get a 3-course menu for about $ 60,- drinks excluded. So don’t expect arrogant waiters, but a relaxed cafe vibe, good food and hipster punkish waiters which are there to give you a fun night out!
