Great news for chocolate lovers who prefer not to eat dairy products. Lait de Choco Amsterdam recently opened its doors – a chocolate paradise for everyone, even those who do not eat dairy products. So let’s go to the Czaar Peterstraat in Amsterdam-Centrum!

Why you want to taste the chocolates from Lait de Choco Amsterdam

Lait de Choco’s chocolates are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a treat for your taste buds. Young entrepreneur Amalia Taleï is originally from Iran and moved from Apeldoorn to Amsterdam when she was sixteen to ‘learn things other than school,’ she tells Het Parool. This is how a love and passion for vegan food arose, but she soon became tired of boring snacks. When she found herself stuck at home as a chef during the pandemic, her passion gave Taleï the brilliant idea to turn it into her job. It led to a years-long experiment with vegan chocolate. Over time, she discovered that the smoothest ingredients from energy bars are perfectly suitable for chocolates. ‘In the world of chocolate, it is rare to find them as handmade as ours. All our chocolates are crafted from scratch and formulated by herbal experts in our studio. By making everything ourselves, we can guarantee transparency and the highest quality standards,” they explain on Instagram. This not only leads to an explosion of taste but also to an aesthetic chocolate.

Menu Lait de Choco

Lait de Choco’s delicacies are only available for takeaway (or to eat straight out of the box if you want), but that shouldn’t spoil the fun. The enormous display cases full of fresh chocolates make the choice difficult. If you want to go on an experimental tour, choose the pine nut praline with mint cream and cherry gel or the bonbon with sesame ganache. It sounds extraordinary, and that’s what they are. At Lait de Choco, all flavors are balanced and the chocolates result from years of experimentation.

If you want to gain more knowledge about chocolate, Lait de Choco is also the right place for you. On their Instagram, they share interesting facts, such as the actual price of chocolate and the influence of palm oil on nature, your skin, and overall well-being. As expected, the entrepreneur packages it like her chocolate in a playful and attractive package. In short, a chocolate that you learn something from, that is good for the world, and that also tastes great. It doesn’t get better than this.
