3 x Amsterdam’s most popular hotspots of April // BEST OF 2016

21 December 2016

THESE ARE THE MOST POPULAR SPOTS OF LAST YEAR!

I always find April such a fun month! With a little bit of luck the very first spring days of the year arrive in Amsterdam and all the little boats will return back on the canals. And of course, April is also the month of King’s Day, one of the best parties of the year. Do you remember what you did that day? Probably something with alcohol involved ;-) And no need to say that April 2016 has been a good month for the Amsterdam hotspot industry, because some very popular places opened their doors. In this blog I’m sharing the BEST OF 2016 for the month of April. Did you go to there yet?

3 X SPOTS TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR

  1. TAQUERIA TACO BAR: 2016 is definitely called the year of the tacos in Amsterdam. At various places in the city taquerias were popping up like mushrooms. Also on the Tweede Helmersstraat in West. The concept here is simple: you have a choice of tacos with chicken, beef, prok, fish and vega. And even better: the tacos are very affordable ;-)

  2. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY OOST: After the success of HappyHappyJoyJoy in West, it was obviously waiting for a second location somewhere else in town. Which came in the former building of Mercat on the Oostelijke Handelskade in Oost. One big advantage: this property also has a large garden, which is now beautifully decorated with lanterns á la HappyHappyJoyJoy style. Like!

  3. MEATLESS DISTRICT: The arrival of Meatless District was already announced at the end of 2015, but it took a while before they found the perfect location. They found their dream location on the Bilderdijk in West. The result: a cool, industrial restaurant that only serves delicious vegetarian dishes.
