It took a while (we kept an eye on their Instagram page every week), but the time has come: Hamer & Vork opened its doors in Amsterdam-Noord on Friday, January 26. And believe us, you want to visit this new hotspot.

Hamer & Vork Amsterdam sets itself apart from other restaurants

Where MOK was previously located, Hamer & Vork Amsterdam is now open. In one of the nicest neighbourhoods of Amsterdam-Noord, close to Coba and the Food Market, organised at Hamer & Vork, will soon serve dishes with worldly influences.

As worldly as the menu is, the design of this brand-new place is as classic and minimalist. The small tables are white marble, and the chairs have a traditional rattan look. Then there is the (excellent!) long bar, ideal for dining for two or hanging out on a Friday evening. With a view of the open kitchen, you can also learn first-hand how the dishes are prepared.

Menu Hamer & Vork Amsterdam

A fixed menu has not yet been fully announced, but it is given that chefs Hessel and Daniel can handle all the flavours of the world. At Hamer & Vork, you can expect surprising flavours from all over the world. Contrasting ingredients let you discover a new world where they always serve matching wines.

You can go to Hamer & Vork from Wednesday to Sunday for dinner and drinks. They have not yet announced whether the restaurant will also provide lunch. We hope so because thanks to the enormous windows on either side of the building, you have sun all day – which is enjoyable in both summer and winter—yet another reason to go to Amsterdam North.
