Davie’s Amsterdam: the tastiest sandwiches you will never get enough of

Tired of the simple cheese sandwich? Step up your lunch game and try a sandwich from the (rightfully!) hyped Davie’s Amsterdam. We bet you’ll never want anything else after that. This lunch spot has grown into one of the key hotspots in the center of Amsterdam for a to-go lunch – and the reason won’t surprise you. If you’re taking a city walk near Egelantiersgracht and Leliestraat, you’re very close and shouldn’t miss this unique sandwich shop.

Lunch at Davie’s Amsterdam Center

The concept of Davie’s Amsterdam is simple yet effective: flavorful sandwiches made with local ingredients. Owner David Baxter always dreamt of starting his sandwich shop, focusing on craftsmanship and creating products from start to finish. That dream has now come true.

Each sandwich is made with different types of bread, combining unique flavors you won’t find anywhere else. The bread is locally sourced and specially made for Davie’s at Kaandorp Bakery. And you can tell the difference because even those who aren’t usually excited about white bread (like the Mumbai sandwich, made with it) will undoubtedly think differently after a visit to Davie’s.

Menu Davie’s

At Davie’s, they prefer to keep things simple, allowing them to work with only the finest ingredients. The menu features five sandwiches: Lelie, which consists of pastrami, mustard, and pickles; Ba-da-bing, topped with coppa Iberico, ricotta, and tomato; Mumbai, a vegetarian option with curried potatoes, mint, coriander, and cheddar; and for seafood lovers, Lox, filled with smoked salmon, dill-cucumber, and cream cheese. The “bread of the day” lives up to its name, changing daily and ranging from fresh fish to local meats.
