Greenwich Village, which also includes the West Village, is also affectionately called the “The Village.” It’s the area of ”Sex in the City” and “Friends”. While roaming around you can easily get lost here, but that is actually a gift there!
You can shop very well, but you will also find a lot of good restaurants there. I personally think it is one of the nicest neighbourhoods in New York to eat out in the evening. Feel like hopping bars? Then stroll around Bleecker and Christopher Streets (where you will also find many LGBT bars).
