When Chun Amsterdam started as a bubble tea business, no one thought it would grow into a popular cult spot with unmatchable TikTok rows. Chun is now known for their high-quality Matcha lattes and equally unique Korean sandwiches – all worth the wait. And that will soon change because Chun will open a second business in Amsterdam in the spring of 2024. We’ll have to wait a little longer for the new hotspot, so we’ll update you now with all that we know about it so far.

Chun Amsterdam opens a second store

After the mega success of their first business and the TikTok rows that seemed never to end, it was time for a new adventure. On Instagram, the owners of Chun Amsterdam proudly (“pinch us!”) announced a second business. Things have exploded on TikTok, and security guards have been hired to manage the waiting crowd. With the arrival of a second business, those lines may become less, and there will be room to score a quick matcha during your lunch break – because that is not an option now. The matcha and other drinks – and of course their sandwiches, about which more below – are worth the wait, so don’t worry about that.

Chun’s interior is sleek, minimalist, and light, and their second location is expected to continue in the same vein. Never change a winning team, right? Nothing has been released yet about the second location on the website, and for the time being, it is still a guess for us.

Menu Chun Café

The menu at Chun’s second location is expected to be quite the same as the one in the Berenstraat in Amsterdam-Centrum. The menu features high-quality coffee, bubble tea, matcha (for those with a sweet tooth, try the one with white chocolate; you will be amazed), and, of course, their famous Korean sandwiches on now-famous brioche bread. In the summer, Chun also serves artisanal matcha and ice cream. The most popular sandwiches on the menu? Undoubtedly, the Instagrammable Rib Eye Bulgogi but the Garlic Shrimp Egg is also one to try. After all, if you’ve stood in line for so long, it’s a shame only to take one, right?
