Despite the dozens of new dining establishments opening in Amsterdam every week, Chez Rosie is special. Here, you can savor classic French pastries like nowhere else in our capital. Get to know the new hotspot in Amsterdam West.

CHEZ ROSIE

As the name suggests, Chez Rosie has a French nature and is run by Rosie Déglon, who previously owned a catering company and restaurant in Paris. There’s Chez Rosie on Kinkerstraat in Amsterdam-West, where you can indulge in sweet delicacies from Paris and its surroundings daily.

The fact that Chez Rosie is now part of our capital wasn’t a deliberate plan. Owner Rosie got tired of Paris – her home – during the pandemic and decided to change radically. Amsterdam turned out to be the right destination. She started a catering business with her boyfriend (under the same name) and served lunch at people’s homes. It was a success, as she quickly got overwhelmed with work. Opening her own establishment seemed like the logical next step.”

Menu Chez Rosie

Rosie is in the kitchen every day, preparing new recipes and old familiar classics for the day. And that’s the fun part: everything is done based on feeling and availability. That means no menu. ‘I am the menu!’ Chef Rosie likes to joke with her guests. So, it’s all about what’s on offer, and at Chez Rosie Amsterdam, that pot never disappoints. Some recurring favorites include meringue, chocolate cookies, brownies, and polenta-almond cake. In short, it is a place where every sweet tooth leaps for joy, and an average child couldn’t be happier.
