Barrica Amsterdam recently opened its doors in West, and of course we couldn't resist giving it a thorough tasting. Barrica, Wine & Foodbar, lives up to its name. Not only do the Italian and Spanish wines on the menu and delicious shared dining dishes give you a Mediterranean feel, but the interior also makes you feel like you're on vacation. Upon entering, the enormous bottles of wine on the wine list immediately catch your eye, as do the long tables where you can comfortably sit together. There's a cozy atmosphere, and when we visited, the place was almost full.

But back to the food. As usual, we couldn't decide, so we went with the waiter's recommendation. Oysters, that is. Yikes! I try them every time, and every time I can't eat them. No worries, Yourlbb's Anne will eat them, #feedanne!
After the oysters and the necessary bubbles, on to the dishes. Everything is suitable for shared dining and it's a bit of a mix between tapas and antipasti. We went for the bUrrata, Italian eggplant lasagna, cod in tomato sauce, and steak tartare. OMG! Give me more. You absolutely can't miss the steak tartare, and neither can the rest. The dishes are not only delicious, they also look beautiful. A nice touch: the chef is a guy in his early twenties. We think he's a young talent!
