New restaurant in Amsterdam: Venus & Adonis!
At Yourlbb we are so happy with new restaurant hotspot Venus & Adonis in Amsterdam. This is a bar and grill in the middle of the Jordaan with amazing steak and surf & turf dishes. Did you also noticed that more and more steak restaurants opened up the last months? The Roast Room, Cafe Panache and Mr. Porter…. Beautiful designed spots with great food! Add Venus & Adonis to the list because this is going to be our new favourite!
The interior of Venus & Adonis is classic with a modern touch. The darkened wood, green chairs and tiles on the floor make the restaurant look warm, timeless, cosy and hip. It’s such a relief to find something other then industrial decorated restaurants. When you enter the door the place feels warm, prefect to take friends, family or your lover. Is it full upstairs? Go downstairs because here are more cosy sitting spots!
Menu X Venus & Adonis Amsterdam
The dishes on the menu are prepared on the Charcoal Grill. Several steaks, entrecôte, spare ribs, lamsrack and classic dishes. All dishes are served on big wooden platters which makes it easy to share. Anne and I had the escargots, the ribbs and the ”soft-shell” crab as starter and this was sooooo good! You can also order the warm or cold Venus & Adonis platter with different sorts of starters.
Of course we chose the lamsrack and Surf & Turf as a main dish. Wow! This wasn’t just a simple lobster and tournedos but a Venus or Adonis steak with Black Tiger prawns or a grilled “Langoest” (lobster) tale. Beautifully served and very, very tasty.
