Unique food experience during The Grand Journey & gin cocktail inspiration

This past week I, together with an exlusive company and several winners of the competition of Your Little Black Book, went to the A’DAM Toren for a very special dinner. The Loft of the A’DAM Toren has been the decor of The Grand Journey for a period of four days. A culinary trip that went from Java to Toscane via Ghana and took us with them on a journey around the world, to taste the ten flavours and experience the travels that are used by Bombay Sapphire in order to create the perfect gin.

While sitting at the long white tables surrounded by screens it quickly became clear that the evening wasn’t only about tasting, but every sense would be stimulated. During the dinner the most beautiful animations appeared on the tables that told the story of Bombay Sapphire!

Chef Jaimie van Heije designed dishes especially for this special evening, in which the ingredients of Bombay Sapphire play the lead. Every course was accompanied by, of course, a fitting cocktail that suited the flavours on the plates. Naturally I extensively photographed all the dishes for you and so you can gain some inspiration for making new food combinations with gin cocktails by using these ingredients. Happy mixing!
