Little Collins Amsterdam: shared dining hotspot!

16 January 2014

Little Collins Amsterdam for a night of cocktails and delicious dishes!

Little Collins Amsterdam is one of my favourite brunch hotspots for years now. And I’m so happy to spread the word that you can also go there for dinner too! Every Thursday and Friday they serve a great shared dining menu with international flavours. Have you ever tried their amazing Bloody Mary’s? I’m a big fan of the Tokyo Bloody Marry with a hint of ginger. Love it!

On the menu at Little Collins Amsterdam you find medium seized dishes to share with the whole table. Try the oyster as a small appetiser. They’re infused with tequila and sprinkled with caviar of Salmon. Very nice twist! For two persons 4 dishes and a dessert to share is a complete meal. My personal recommendations are: the Korean style beef tartar with nori, pan fried seawolf with very special risotto, grilled stilton bruschetta with fresh pear and de day special which was pigeon when we ate at Little Collins Amsterdam.

As true cheese lovers my love and I shared a cheese plate with Cheese from Erik’s Delicatessen (the great cheese shop in Amsterdam East). What I also like about Little Collins is that they have great house wines and very good cocktails. In NY dinner cocktails is a trend for years already and I have to admit I love to start my dinner with to too.

The vibe at Little Collins Amsterdam is great! Very relaxed and in the warm weather months you can enjoy your food on the small terrace in front of the restaurant. And the interior has the looks of a neighborhood hotspots in Berlin or London. Industrial with a great bar and a he coffee table where you can dine with a group.

Tip: Of course Little Collins is a great hotspot for brunch too. Remember my blog about the brunch concept? Check it out here.
