Is your Friday night only complete with wine and cheese? Then the new Kef Amsterdam Noord, also known as Fromagerie Abraham Kef, is your go-to place to celebrate the weekend. The newest and third Kef location is located in Noord on Van der Pekplein, "across" the IJ River.

Okay, let's pay attention. Kef has two other locations: one in the city center on Marnixstraat and a cheese shop in the East district on Czaar Peterstraat. The Marnixstraat location used to be the place to hold cheese and wine tastings with friends, but with the arrival of the Noord location, it has now become a 'regular' cheese shop. The tasting room has also moved to Noord. In other words, for a portion of cheese and wine, you'll now have to take the ferry (or, if you're lucky enough to live in Noord, you won't have to take the ferry anymore ;-))

Kef Amsterdam Noord consists of two sections: one for tasting loads of cheese and wine, and one for taking all that cheese and wine you've tasted home to enjoy on the sofa. What makes this location especially appealing is the enormous terrace, which is bathed in sunshine and sheltered from the wind in the summer. And although the cold winter months are approaching, we can easily picture ourselves here on a sunny, cold day with a glass of wine on the left and a cheese board on the right. Cheers!

Note: you can visit this shop from Wednesday to Sunday. If you're craving cheese on other days, you can, of course, cycle past the other locations.
