After years of renovations this year suddenly the transformation of the Rokin got a whole lot more complete. All of a sudden a broad avenue appeared, with even terraces along the sidewalk. The Rokin has now become a quite cozy place with new hotspots popping up right next to each other. One of this very fine new hotspots opened in August 2016: Adam & Siam. But there’s more. In this blog I’m sharing the BEST OF 2016 for the month of August. Did you go to there yet?

- ADAM & SIAM: Adam & Siam brings the best of two worlds together. Because “Amsterdam embraces Asia” at Adam & Siam. Both in the kitchen and the interior. On the menu you find a mix of Oriental cuisine and Dutch dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You find this place on the renewed Rokin!
- JACOBSZ: In a beautiful old building in Amsterdam-East you find Jacobsz, a restaurant with a remarkable interior and delicious menu. Here you go to for an evening with extensive dinners and thus you can choose from a three-, four-, or five-course menu with prices between €32, – and €46, -. A must for anyone who likes a fancy dinner every now and then!
- POKE PERFECT: 2016 was the year of the introduction of the poke bowl: a Hawaiian dish with raw fish, vegetables and rice or quinoa. Better described as sushi in a bowl. Poke Perfect is the first restaurant in Amsterdam that offers this delightful dish and extra very fine: the poke bowl is available for take out as well!
