Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen Amsterdam: gastrobar in East

27 February 2015

Our new favourite on the East side! Meet: Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen

Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen at the Javaplein in Amsterdam East just opened the doors andat Your Little Black Book we’re already fan. That’s not that surprising if you consider that restaurant Wilde Zwijnen (the big brother of Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen) is in our top-5 of restaurants for years already. I can’t remember going to Wilde Zwijnen without having a great night with good food and wines. And it’s in my own neighbourhood (Amsterdam East) too!A few weeks ago Faysal already showed us around at Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen where they were working hard to finish the concept. But I already saw that this was going to be a cool place! The tiles on the floor <3, the huge wooden bar and the enthousiasm of the story. Love it! So I booked a table for their opening weekend right away to see the final result and even more important… to taste the food of Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen myself!  eetbar-wilde-zwijnen-amsterdam-4

The menu at Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen

And trust me… you want to taste the food at Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen yourself! The concept of the menu at Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen is inspired by the Spanish food culture. Medium sized dishes to share with the whole table or to eat at the bar. And then the quality we’re used of from restaurant Wilde Zwijnen. Just delicious! Last week I had dinner with my brother, my sis in law Bianca (remember her from all the NY blogs?) and my love. Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen Amsterdam Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen Amsterdam Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen Amsterdam All dishes are so good! The octopus is super tender, de ray filet delicious and the farm chicken so good I want to have the recipe ;-). Other must tries we already tasted for you are the: clams, cold cuts, paté, pork sausage, beef loin and cheese. Uhm yes, we almost tried the whole menu at Eetbar Wilde Zwijnen. For the other dishes we will check in again soon. Maybe I see you there!
