come dance at one of these 21 amazing clubs in amsterdam

Being able to dance regularly is one of the big upsides of living in a big city like Amsterdam. There are so many nice clubs and places to go out that it is sometimes difficult to decide which places are the best spots to go to. That’s why we selected 21 of the best clubs in Amsterdam where locals like to go too. Have fun!

21 x clubs in amsterdam to visit with your friends

Canvas: Canvas is on the seventh floor of the awesome Volkshotel in East. During daytime this is a perfect spot to grab some food, but in the weekends Canvas transforms to Club Canvas: a cool night club. With a great view over the lights of Amsterdam!

Paradiso: Paradiso is more than just the pop temple of the Netherlands (even though this is already a pretty big thing of course). Next to nice bands and artists Paradiso also organises some fun club nights. You can go to Noodlanding every Thursday, for example. And parties like Vunzige Deuntjes come to break down the house regularly.

Melkweg: We can say the same thing about the Melkweg and Paradiso: in both places awesome artists from all over the world come to perform. Besides that, Melkweg also has great club nights, woop woop!

VLLA: VLLA is a bar, a stage and a club. But VLLA is most of all a very well hidden place. You’ll find the club somewhere in West, just behind a filling station. From the outside it just looks like a house and actually, that’s what it is. It even has a garden. And wild parties till sunrise every now and then.

Disco Dolly Amsterdam

Disco Dolly: Disco Dolly is open seven days a week and we’re loving it! Partying is possible at one of the two floors, and that on every day of the week. Ideal, if you ask us. And it’s next to Cannibale Royale where you can have burgers until 4 in the morning during the weekends. Comes in quite handy if all of the dancing makes you hungry.

Claire: You’ll find Claire where Studio 80 used to be, in the heart of the City Centre. Claire is from the same owners as Disco Dolly. So yes, it will be a fun night!

NYX: Are you looking for a crazy night? Club NYX is your recipe for success. The club has different floors and every floor is decorated in the craziest way. Even the toilets are a cool place to hang out.

EdelWise: You probably know Edel in West. En did you know you can go there on Friday afternoon to have some drinks until late. Yes, that’s EdelWise. Get your ticket at the door, or go here to enjoy a 3-course meal and dance afterwards.

De Marktkantine Amsterdam

Marktkantine: The Marktkantine is a creative pop-up in West, right around the corner of the Hallen. Pop-up indeed, but you don’t have to rush. Marktkantine will be around until at least 2019. This is the place where employees of the market used to come to eat their sandwiches, but now it’s a great industrial spot to party all night long.

Warehouse Elementen: “Breeding place for electronic music” – that’s what they call themselves here. There are cool parties and festivals regularly, on which you can dance until the sun comes up again. Warehouse Elementen is hidden somewhere deep in West, because that is the place to be in the current club scene.

Westerunie: Westerunie is one of the many great party places on the Westergasterrein. On this cool industrial spot you’ll never be disappointed by the offers of great parties. From themed parties to hard techno!

RADION: RADION is hidden somewhere in West and calls itself a cultural breeding place. That comes in quite handy because they have a 24 hours license. In the daytime they organise cultural activities and in the evenings awesome parties. Expect a lot of techno at RADION.

Chicago Social Club: At the Chicago Social Club the roof comes off every weekend. Especially during Super Social which is organised every Thursday. Oh and by the way: nobody calls Chicago Social Club by its full name. Everybody is always talking about the Soos. ;-)

clubs in amsterdam

Depot: Depot is kind of a mystery. What happens inside, stays inside. The warehouse club is only open on Friday and Saturday night and they don’t announce the DJs. The only thing you know: it’s going to be techno or house music! Curious yet?

Bitterzoet: Bitterzoet is a bar, club and stage in once. You’ll find some cool electronic and hip hop acts on the stage often. From rock and punk to hiphop, funk and soul: Bitterzoet is trying to set up a very varied musical ensemble. That means a lot of dancing in the intimate club.

De School: Darkness, darkness and even more darkness. That’s what you’ll find at De School. Aka the successor of the beloved ClubTrouw. No wonder that the lines are long. But once you’re in, you’ll enter a magical world.

Shelter: Shelter is the underground club of A’dam Toren. And since the Toren is a melting pot of musical talent, this is the place to be for parties.
