Are you a cocooner or do you prefer to get outdoors? In our Snowy Amsterdam Guide, I share my favorite winter tips for this weekend in the city.

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.
So thank you for your support when you see #yourlbbcollab, #pressstrip or #prinvited ;-).
This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
Luckily, I have a small team that helps with certain sections, and this year we're going through all the tips critically. What's still truly fun, and what's not?
As a leisure expert and queen of curation, I'm so excited to take yourlittleblackbook.me to the next level. Even though being an online entrepreneur requires constant attention and doesn't always come naturally, I wouldn't want anything else.
My mission remains: making your life easier.
So you don't have to search, but can simply choose well.
So glad you were here this year. Without you, there would be no Your Little Black Book 🖤
See you in 2026!
With love,
@anne_de_buck

I have always been part of the family and have always been proud of my work. I have a nice garden in my garden 🗝️👀
Mark your calendars! Because on January 17th and 18th, Hotel Night returns to Amsterdam with a year-round event packed with health and wellness events, and of course, legendary parties you'll be talking about all year long.
I got a sneak peek at The Art of Balance theme at the luxurious Anantara Krasnapolsky and arranged a similarly special experience for you as a YLBB follower.
And in my opinion:
• overnight stay for 2 people in a luxury room on January 17, 2026
• access to the spa & wellness (subject to availability via the wellness desk)
• pre-dinner cocktail at Bar The Tailor
• fully catered dinner from the chef
• passe-partouts for the Hotel Night parties
• extensive breakfast in the Winter Garden
• participation in unique Ice Experience in Krasnapolsky Summergarden
And in Flanders:
• let us know who you would like to check in with at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky during the Mastercard Hotel Night
• download the Mastercard Hotel Night app where you can see the complete program
• and take a look at @hotelnacht and @anantarakrasnapolsky for the latest updates and to get the fun started!
The winner will be notified on January 5th in a comment from @hotelnacht that I will share in my stories.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Love,
Anne

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!
And now the best news:
I can surprise one of you with a dream night away at VIA Antwerp. 💛
And in my opinion
• Overnight stay for 2 people
• Breakfast included
• Chef's Dinner at MEA
And in Flanders
• Let us know in the comments which friend you would like to stay here with
• Of course, take a look at @viaantwerp & @mea.antwerp to dream away and follow their updates
The winner will be notified personally via DM on December 10th.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and will soon share a mini guide with more great tips for Antwerp! 🖤

From focaccia with porchetta, roasted bell peppers, or fried fish, vitello tonnato, or simply a delicious plate of carpaccio, Bar Bellini serves delicious Italian dishes perfect for sharing. They also have an extensive menu of delicious cocktails, and of course, the Bellini is a must-try.
Ferdinand Bolstraat 17, Amsterdam – barbellini.nl
Perhaps not the first hotspot you'd think of for a delicious brunch, but Caffé Pico is the perfect place to enjoy authentic Italian delicacies with friends. This new hotspot's menu features dishes designed for sharing. From Friday to Sunday, you can enjoy their delicious dishes from noon. Don't forget to check out the restrooms; the disco ball and mood lighting will make you feel like you're in a glamorous nightclub. Definitely worth a visit!

As Amsterdam's oldest brunch restaurant, Greenwoods is a must-visit. A fixture in Amsterdam city center since 1988, it's one of those evergreens you'll return to again and again for authentic English brunch and breakfast dishes. From breakfast to brunch and from lunch to the finest English tea with scones, this spot is unmissable. The daily menu features delicious English breakfast and brunch classics, along with a selection of classic lunch dishes. Greenwoods also caters to vegetarians and vegans, as they offer several vegetarian and vegan versions of their English brunch dishes. And if you know what you're talking about, the traditional English cream tea with freshly made scones is a true institution. Greenwoods locations in Amsterdam are located on the Singel canal and Keizersgracht canals, and both have terraces. So, head to Greenwoods for a true English breakfast or homemade burger while enjoying a homemade drink or coffee in one of the authentic canal houses.

Easily one of the nicest new restaurants in Amsterdam Noord. And the good news is that they have their own bakery, so they open early every day. It's best to stop by around lunchtime! From noon onwards, they already have a number of divine dishes on their rotating menu. I recommend ordering a variety of dishes from the menu and don't miss the snacks. Fill your table, add a glass of wine or another delicious drink, and enjoy! TIP: Also great to combine with NXT Museum which is right next to Cafe Restaurant Metro.

In the always lively and bustling Javastraat, you can visit Le French Café all day long. A modern French bistro where the menu is packed with the best of France, you'll feel like you're in Paris. The interior is absolutely stunning! Another thing I really love about this new Amsterdam restaurant is the variety of charming nooks and crannies throughout the space. A table to sit at, small bistro tables where you can quietly read a newspaper, a cozy bar for endless drinks later in the day, and of course, a lovely terrace. The menu features delicious brunch dishes like eggs Benedict, steak tartare, and more. Want to stay for drinks after brunch? Then Le French Café is definitely the place to be.

Na Café Binnenvisser in Amsterdam West and Restaurant Corner Store In Amsterdam-Noord, the same team opened Café Twee Prinsen in Amsterdam city center. Open seven days a week, from drinks until midnight, and also for lunch or brunch on weekends. Peering in through the large windows, you'll immediately see the charm of a modern Amsterdam brown café. This is the perfect place for delicious food and drinks, and when the weather is nice, you can relax on the canal-side terrace.
Prinsenstraat 27, 1015 DB Amsterdam – (Center) – tweeprinsen.nl
It's probably a good thing there's always a long line at Chun in the Nine Streets. Otherwise, I'd be having breakfast here every day with their delicious brioche toast! If you ask me, these are quite possibly the best sandwiches you can get in Amsterdam right now. So my advice: get there before 10.00:XNUMX AM on weekends or during the week (when it's a bit less busy). It's worth the wait. Favorites on the menu are definitely the bulgogi and the shrimp toast. Order a homemade lemonade with it. They also have excellent coffee.

Looking for a delicious waterfront dining experience in Oost? Then head to Ode aan de Amstel. Located where Riva once stood, they now offer an affordable all-day menu. Prefer to go all-out with multiple courses? Choose the chef's menu! They're open daily from 11.00:XNUMX AM for lunch, and on Sundays, they also offer a delicious Sunday Brunch.
Amstelboulevard 1, Amsterdam – odeaandeamstel.nl
Next at the NDSM wharf is the newest addition from the team behind PLLEK. You could think of it as a slightly more mature, yet still rebellious and uncategorizable, bigger brother. They're open seven days a week from 9:30 AM, so you're in the right place for breakfast too. NEXT also has a fantastic bar where you can enjoy cocktails later in the day. I think this is one of the few places in Amsterdam where you'll want to go for breakfast in the morning, brunch later, and a party in the evening!
NDSM-Kade 2, Amsterdam – nextndsm.nl
Joris Bijdendijk (known from RIJKS* and Wils*) has opened a new location at Amsterdam's Stadionplein. Wils Bakery Café is a combination bakery and bistro, the Burgundian sister of Michelin-starred restaurant Wils, located on the building's third floor. Wils Bakery Café offers the best of both worlds, a place where the craftsmanship of a bakery meets the coziness of a French bistro. Whether you're enjoying a more exclusive dinner or lunch at Wils*, you can pop in without a reservation at Wils Bakery Café for classic lunch and bread dishes. Think: the Reuben sandwich, an asparagus quiche, and pâté en croute. Bijdendijk and his team also serve their best versions of schnitzel, slavink, and soft serve ice cream. Bread, pastries, and lunch can also be purchased to go at the bakery itself. Sounds good, right?
Stadionplein 24 – ground floor, 1076 CM Amsterdam, Amsterdam South – wilsbakerycafe.nl
There's really only one place you'll want to have breakfast in Amsterdam West. That is, if you love really good bread. Bakkerij Loof is a lovely spot with a wonderful atmosphere, whether you want to enjoy breakfast alone with a magazine or newspaper, or you're meeting up with a friend. In good weather, the terrace is also a great place to people-watch on the always lively Bilderdijkstraat. And did I mention they open at 8:00 AM? Bakkerij Loof is located in the same corner building as Café Binnenvisser, where you can join us from early evening.
Bilderdijkstraat 38, Amsterdam, West – bakeryloof.nl

Do you enjoy eggs in the morning? Then you should definitely have breakfast or brunch at Oeuf. Here you'll find everything with eggs, from a croque madam to a poached egg with salmon, an egg with salmon, or simply a delicious omelet.
Daniel Stalpertstraat 36, Amsterdam – Oeufamsterdam.nl
What started as a bakery, now you can also enjoy a delicious meal. Morgan & Mees's top baker, Paula, makes the most delicious rolls, pastries, and croissants; they're absolutely mouthwatering. The café is open Tuesday through Sunday. They recently started serving dinner some evenings, but keep an eye on the website for that. This spot is perfect for an early breakfast or a tasty lunch in the Nine Streets.
Wolvenstraat 22, Amsterdam, Nine Streets – instagram.com/bakkerijwolf
Arie is the new restaurant in Amsterdam from the same club behind Bar Bonnie. It's an ode to the Amsterdam pub. From 9:00 AM, you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, lunch, and dinner in the evening. Try the traditional Goudvisch family recipes, such as Zeeland mussels in wheat beer. Read more about Arie here >>
Ferdinand Bolstraat 24, Amsterdam, De Pijp – arie.goudvisch.nl
The Lobby is my all-time favorite restaurant for a leisurely brunch or lunch. Eggs royale, Caesar salad, flammkuchen, or perhaps steak tartare? Whatever you choose, it's always good at The Lobby. The restaurant on Fizeaustraat in Oost is a bit more upscale than the one on Nes, but both are highly recommended.
Nes 49 and Fizeaustraat 2, Amsterdam – The Lobby

The Spuistraat in heart of the center It's not the street you immediately think of when looking for a great breakfast spot. But with the arrival of Cocotte by Hexagone, that's all changed. Here you'll find savory galettes, sweet crêpes, a full breakfast, café gourmand, tarte tartin, and more. With its rustic décor inspired by the French countryside, you can start your day in peace.
Spuistraat 127, 1012 SV Amsterdam
This spot in East is the perfect spot for British comfort food. British brunch dishes you won't find everywhere in Amsterdam, and everything is homemade. They also regularly have Sunday Roast on weekends. Check their website and social media for specials on the menu.
Linneausstraat 88, Amsterdam – thecottage.amsterdam
An all-day hotspot with several locations throughout the city. For breakfast, brunch, or lunch, this is the perfect spot. From Friday to Sunday, they open at 10:00 AM. Start your day right with fresh orange juice and fluffy American pancakes. Weather permitting, they also have a lovely terrace.
Willemsparkweg 232, Amsterdam, Old South – George.amsterdam
Just far enough from the city center to feel peaceful, yet secretly within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station. Vooges aan 't IJ understands like no other what gives guests that ultimate feeling of relaxation. Whether you're sitting by the fireplace in winter or on the terrace overlooking the IJ in summer, it's the kind of place we keep returning to for the great atmosphere.
Westerdoksdijk 40, Amsterdam – vooges.nl
Around the corner from Kwakersplein, you'll find the charming Karavaan. It's an all-day hotspot where you can not only enjoy your first cup of coffee, brunch, lunch, or a friendly drink with friends, but also pop open your laptop and catch up on some work. They open every day at 9:00 AM, so it's perfect for an early catch-up with friends! And did I mention they have a lovely terrace?
Kwakersplein 2, Amsterdam – karavaanamsterdam.nl
The two owners are of Australian descent and love to blend this with Dutch cuisine. For example, they offer Holtkamp bitterballen and crunchy mac and cheese balls. They also have various breakfast bowls, sandwiches, and delicious brunch dishes. All with an Australian twist!
Plantage Middenlaan 30A, 1018 DG Amsterdam – boxsociaal.com
On Weesperzijde in Amsterdam East, you'll find grand café de Ysbreeker. It's not exactly trendy, but it's a spot locals keep returning to. They open every day at 08.00:XNUMX AM, perfect for early risers. Start your day off right with a cup of coffee from the espresso bar, but if you're in the mood for a delicious brunch, they're also the place to be. From poached eggs with salmon and hollandaise sauce to granola with coconut and yogurt, you'll find it all here. In the summer, they have one of the best terraces in Amsterdam East.
Weesperzijde 23, Amsterdam – deysbreeker.nl
A lovely heated terrace, delicious food and a fantastic interior to enjoy brunch, drinks or dinner with friends (or your date!) regardless of the season.

Let's be honest, De Wasserette is a bit of an Amsterdam institution, isn't it? You'll want to be there early in the morning at this hotspot. They open at 7:30 AM. Sit on the terrace with a hot cup of coffee and watch the early morning market goers from the Albert Cuyp Market pass by.
First van der Helststraat 27, Amsterdam, De Pijp – Dewasserette.com
Whether you fancy a croissant, yoghurt, toast or an egg? At Kessens They have it all! You can also order a breakfast menu here, served with juice and coffee. Something to celebrate? They're happy to serve you a glass of bubbly with your breakfast! In the warmer months, they open their doors and have a few tables on the terrace.
Rozengracht 24, Amsterdam, Center – Kessensamsterdam.nl
The Hoxton Hotel's premier restaurant! Great for dinner, but a favorite for brunch, if you ask me. A wonderful international vibe, and the eggs Benedict are in my top 5 in the entire city!
Herengracht 255, 1016 BJ Amsterdam – thehoxton.com
California dreamin'! From brunch to dinner, Celia Amsterdam's menu and interior are inspired by sunny California. The dishes are prepared with seasonal ingredients. Enjoy a divine Angus and Avocado burger or Lemon Ricotta Pancake.

Buffet van Odette, located on Amsterdam's canals, offers delicious brunch 7 days a week. The menu is classic, but with a fun twist. The omelet with truffle cheese is highly recommended!

Here they serve pancakes with unique combinations. For a hearty brunch, we especially recommend the "mancake": a triple-layered pancake sandwiched between crispy bacon and topped with an egg. Now also with a city center location near Waterlooplein!

Green, greener, greenest—that's the interior of Bar Botanique. The bar is green, the walls are green, and all the beautiful plants are green. It's easy to relax here during your brunch.

Sitting at one of the picnic tables or on the bench around the fireplace, overlooking the water. That alone makes Pllek the perfect brunch spot. The sandwich with grilled vegetables remains a favorite. By the way, there's often a band playing on Sunday afternoons!

Perfect for a healthy breakfast or all-day brunch. They make everything themselves, using as many local ingredients as possible. Great for juices, sourdough sandwiches, egg dishes, and delicious cakes. They now have several locations in Amsterdam, but in my opinion, the best one is Dignita Hoftuin!

Enjoy brunch Ozzie-style at Little Collins. This cozy spot in De Pijp has a long wooden table where you can gather with all your friends for a boozy brunch. The owner has brought over the most delicious recipes from Melbourne, and we're fans of their Bloody Marys.
