Bangkok Amsterdam: good Thai restaurant!

11 October 2014

This is a restaurant where you go for the good food!

I get several emails a week with the question if I only eat out in trendy restaurants. Uhm NO! Of course I go to Thai or other international restaurants as well. I just don’t blog about them that often. Most of the time those places don’t have beautiful interiors or a trendy crowd. No, this places are in Your Little Black Book for the food!

Because I don’t want to keep my favourite international restaurants from you I will share them more often on Yourlbb! As you all know I went to Thailand in September. So when I got back I just had to take my love out for dinner and a movie to tell him all about my adventures there.

My favourite Thai where I go with friends or my love before we go to the movies in Tuschinski is restaurant Bangkok. It’s located behind Tuschinski at the Reguliersdwarsstraat. From Monday to Wednesday you can eat a special movie menu for € 32,50 including a ticket. It’s not for nothing that the regulars at Bangkok call this family owned restaurant “Thai Tush”!

Don’t expect a trendy interior design at Thai restaurant Bangkok in Amsterdam. Like I said, you go here for the tasty food. As a starter the Bangkok mixed is a great choice. Make sure to check the specials as well! We order the Tom Ka Kai soup for the second course. So delicious! HMM! I think the great thing about Thai food is that it’s perfect for sharing. The Pad Thai is always my favourite. A Singha beer completes the dinner.

When you can’t finish all the dishes they are happy to give you a doggybag so you can eat it the next day at home.

Tip: go to Tuschinski after dinner at Bangkok!
