Cafe-restaurant De Plantage Amsterdam: new hotspot

11 October 2014

From lunch to dinner at De Plantage in Amsterdam!

Cafe restaurant De Plantage in Amsterdam has all the ingredients to become the newest restaurant hotspot. The Chef worked at one of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam North: Hotel De Goudfazant (YAY!). You find restaurant De Plantage right next to Artis on the East side of Amsterdam City center. Another reason to go to Artis more often!

The interior design of cafe restaurant De Plantage is really cool. Super high ceilings, lots of natural light, a mix of vintage and design and industrial elements of the old buildings of Artis. Nice detail: the Plantage is a coop between the owners of restaurant Amsterdam and Dauphine and Artis! I think a restaurant and cafe like this is exactly what the Plantagebuurt needs.

Food & drinks at De Plantage

On the menu at cafe restaurant De Plantage in Amsterdam you find modern bistro dishes. From a Bavette to risotto and a catch of the day. As a starter the ‘plats’ are nice to share! Another reason to go to De Plantage is the crema catalana for dessert. You don’t see that so often in Amsterdam!

Cafe restaurant De Plantage in Amsterdam is also a nice hotspot for just a coffee or drinks! And I think it’s a good place to have a business meeting too.
