Weekend tips for october 30, 31 & November 1

Hello weekend! And already the last of October and the first of November. Do you feel like dressing up for Halloween this weekend? Check our blog with the coolest parties that you can’t miss. Also nice: the newest restaurants in Amsterdam to try out! We listed 6 restaurants where you definitely need to go for dinner. But there is also a lot to do this weekend like The Affordable Art Fair, the Sunday Market or go to pop-up concept store Zolder47 at Hotel de Hallen. Paris is always a good idea and that’s why I am going there for the weekend to celebrate my lovers birthday. Enjoy your weekend! >>

– In New York I tasted pumpkin ale for the very first time and now I’m in love with these fall inspired beers. I made a list with 5 spots in Amsterdam where you can drink Bock beer and Pumpkin Ale in Amsterdam.

– October almost ended and that’s why we listed which new restaurants just opened up in Amsterdam. These are the must-eat restaurants for this month!

– This weekend Wilde Westen has the official opening. We tried and tested the pizza’s and loved them!

– Baut Zuid is organising Sunday BAUTZUID Indoor OesterfestOne oyster is only €0,99 per piece! And this goes very well with a glass of champagne :-)

Graceland Bar-B-Q exists one year this Sunday and that will be celebrated with “Redneck Rodeo”. This means bull riding, cowboy’s en a lot of live music.

Piadina is a new Italian lunch hotspot at De Pijp. Also great for your weekend aperitivo!

– In the mood for cocktails? Go this weekend to Vesper at the Jordaan!

– Looking for a cool breakfast spot? We up-dated the breakfast list!

– Go to The Affordable Art Fair this weekend at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam North! 65 galleries sell affordable and contemporary art!

– This Saturday you can visit the Tribal Art Fair at the Prinsengracht. Twenty leading dealers of art are showing their best pieces from Oceania, Africa, Tibet, South east-Asia and South America.

– This Sunday you can go shopping at the Sunday Market at Westergasterrein. On the menu: art, fashion, design and of course food & drinks :-)

-The Storytelling Festival is from October 31 until November 8 in Amsterdam. Stories are collected and shared with you. The theme of this year: a journey!

BUTTON WEEKENDGUIDE MUSEUM– Let’s go back to the 60s! At the Tropenmuseum with the The Sixties expo! Fashion, design, music, architecture and photographs from the 60’s are exposed.

– The Amsterdam Museum has a new cool exhibition: Graffiti: New York Meets the Dam. The exhibition shows graffiti from New York and Amsterdam from the 70 & 80’s.

– A must visit: Magnum Contact Sheets at Foam! With the use of original contact sheets and vintage prints you can see how iconic pictures were made (until December 9).

– Van Gogh goes hand in hand with Munch during Munch: Van Gogh at Van Gogh Museum from September 25 until January 17.

Tip: the Persmuseum exist 100 years and to celebrate you can take an extra visitor from November 4 until 11 for free!

– This Friday it’s time again for the best Friday afternoon drink in Amsterdam: Edelwise. Every last Friday of the month it’s all about cool people, (life) music, DJ’s, acts & entertainment.
