Weekend tips for July 3, 4 & 5!

Summer temperatures this weekend! That means hanging out at the park, lying at the beach or go sailing! Have you already checked out our list with the 6 summer city beaches in Amsterdam? So now you don’t have to go out of town! There are also plenty of new restaurants again where you can have a good meal in the evening. And there a lot of things to do. – Have you already been to Café de Paris or Metropolitain? Two new hotspots at Rokin! Perfect for a weekend brunch, a drink or a French meal.

– Try out the Basque cuisine at BasQ Kitchen at De Pijp!

– Fashionchick is hosting a Friday after drinks evening! The Disaronno terrace evening at the Grand Hotel!

– Or go to the 1 year anniversary party of G&T for a few good G&Ts!

– A city beach where you can eat some amazing (and healthy) wraps: La Tête! Perfect hotspot for these sunny days.

The Duchess is officially open! A restaurant at the old Kasbank where you can have delicious food!

– Restaurant Remise47 is celebrating the summer! Starting on Friday they are going to have Dolle Oester Dagen (Crazy Oyster Days) where you can eat oysters for only 1 euro per oyster. And everyday there’s a happy hour between 17:00 and 19:00!

 – Amsterdam FashionWeek is starting this Friday! For ten days long the city will be in sign of fashion. With a down-town program and starting next week there are catwalk shows at the Westergasfabriek and the Transformatorhuis.

– To do on Sunday: Badplaats Session at the Volkshotel! That’s going to be bathing in the hot tub at the rooftop.

– The annual artistic and cultural NDSM Open is back! 80 ateliers and 175 artists.

– Take your date to New Moves! Three performances entirely created by the dancers of The National Ballet. And cool: there’s an after-party on Friday at the backstage area of the theater!

– Until next week Sunday you can go to the Over het IJ Festival at the NDSM-Wharf! A ten days festival in sign of theater, art and interactive works.

– On Sunday you can go to Roots Open Air A festival full with music, workshops and the Roots Bazaar.

– Summer temperatures this weekend! Perfect for a picnic in the park. We tell you all about the best parks for a picnic and how you how to make a salad in the park without spilling in no time. Really… it’s possible!

– On Saturday you can go to ZOOmeravonden at Artis again! Until the end of August the zoo will be opened every Saturday until sunset so you can listen to music and do other fun activities.

– The Red Light District will be transformed for the Light Jazz festival!

– Have you been to Vondelpark Openlucht Theater? Until September 27 you can go here for free music, theater, dance and cabaret performances.

Live At started in the Amsterdam Forest! This series of open air concerts in the Bostheater have some good artists in their line-up that you definitely don’t want to miss.

– This is the last weekend to go to the World Press Photo exhibition in Amsterdam! The exposition is at the Nieuwe Kerk (till July 5th).

– In the city archives of Amsterdam there is a cool exhibition with photos of Cor Jaring! Aside from the famous pictures there are also newly discovered photo’s on display. A must-see! (until July 12th).
