Restaurant Moer Amsterdam: fine dining at the Amstelveenseweg

13 February 2017

Restaurant Moer Amsterdam where veggies are in the spotlight

Restaurant Moer Amsterdam is a new restaurant where we’re really excited about. This restaurant is located in an old Michelin tire changing station. How cool is that? It’s located at the corner of the Overtoom and Amstelveenseweg and next door to hotspot Sticky Fingers.

The new interior design doesn’t show there used to be a car garage there, but there are little details in the restaurant that show the history. In the open kitchen Chef Dirk Mooren en Sous Cas van de Pol create delicious dishes with organic ingredients. You can order a  4, 5 or 6 course menu (from € 40,- to € 60,-). I had the honor to eat at Restaurant Moer as the very first and I have to say that a restaurant like this is a great catch in the neighbourhood. The menu changes with the seasons and veggies are the heros. That doesn’t mean they don’t serve fish or meat, but the courses in between are veggies only. Of course you can order it veggie only too.

In the open kitchen Chef Dirk Mooren (known from the Conservatorium Hotel and De Kas) and Sous Cas van de Pol are making delicious dishes from (most of the time) local en organic produce. Of course you’re enjoying this with wine pairing of vin naturel.

Restaurant Moer is also open for lunch. You can then choose from a 2 or 3 course menu or an open sandwich or salad if you don’t want to do an extensive lunch.
