The part of De Clercqstraat and De Bilderdijkstraat in Amsterdam West is hip & happening. One new hotspot after another pops up. If you take a turn in the middle of the intersection, you'll see Bilder & de Clercq, Mook Pancakes and Huis van Lopez are already cheering you on. And if you continue along De Clercq, you'll also see the new TonTon Club, Karakter, and H. Burger under construction. The only thing missing on this stretch is a good coffee spot. And now it's here too. Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam has opened!
You'll find this new coffee spot next to the bookstore on the corner across from Bilder & de Clercq, where IJscuypje used to be. But it's hard to believe that there used to be an ice cream stand there. Owner Patrick Abbott has extensively renovated the place and transformed it into a proper coffee spot. Complete with a coffee counter, seating areas, and a reading table. Because, of course, you want a comfortable seat for that delicious cup of coffee.
To bring you the very best, Patrick trained in Australia. Monks Coffee Roasters Amsterdam is the result of all his knowledge. And what's even better: they're open from 7:00 AM. This means this little corner of Amsterdam has just about everything you could want!
