Would you like to roll up your sleeves and clear your head while enjoying coffee? At Clay Coffee Studio & Cafe in Amsterdam’s De Pijp, they know how to go about this. Meet the ceramics studio where you can let your creativity run wild!

Why you’ll want to visit Clay Coffee Studio & Cafe

Even though many new catering establishments and concepts open every week, Clay Coffee Studio & Cafe is one that Amsterdam did not yet have. Anyone who visits Clay for the first time would not immediately think that it is a creative breeding ground – at first glance, it looks more like a very tasteful Scandinavian coffee shop. The coffee bar with cookies and cakes that will make your mouth water catches the eye, and the smell of fresh coffee immediately makes you want to take that necessary caffeine shot.

An afternoon at Clay Coffee

What does that look like, you might wonder, an afternoon at Clay Coffee? Well, it’s exactly as you may wish. You can go there for coffee or something sweet and participate in one of the workshops. Unfortunately, spontaneous attendance is impossible (unless someone drops out), but on Clay’s website, you will find all kinds of ceramics workshops and several one-day (partial) courses. The nice thing is that Clay offers space for both beginners and experienced potters. With the introductory workshops, you will learn the tricks of the trade, and with the more advanced courses, you will delve deeper into making unique creations. The only thing you need, according to the owners? Enthusiasm and a little creativity. You can hang out at the coffee bar if you don’t like indulging in pottery.
