this is where you shop the best decoration for your tree!

YES! Sinterklaas and his helpers have returned to Spain and that means the Christmas tree is now officially allowed in the living room. Do you not remember where you left the Christmas decorations from last year? Or did the cat destroy all of your baubles? Or can your Christmas tree use an upgrade anyway? No worries, Amsterdam has gotten a few very fancy Christmas departments. Read on and discover the best Christmas departments in Amsterdam where you shop everything for your tree!

5 x Christmas departments in Amsterdam to spoil your tree

De Bijenkorf: the number 1 when it comes to Christmas departments. With all that shiny splurge and funny baubles (including feathers, sequins and glitters) it feels like walking through one big Christmas paradis. They got everything for your tree here.

Flying Tiger: of course the Flying Tiger may not be missed in the list of Christmas departments in Amsterdam. This shop is not only the place to go for original and affordable xmas decorations, but as well as for the best Christmas gifts.

Pluk: Pluk is also sharing the Christmas spirit and offers – besides their delicious cakes – very cute Christmas decorations as well. Actually… Pluk has just about everything when it comes to things that make the holidays more festive: from napkins to postcards and from candles to ornaments, everything has the Christmas spirit.

Hema: reindeers, birds, owls, bright colored baubles and happy garlands, also Hema has a very extensive Christmas department. And did you know that Hema has a Hema Gift Factory this year? In this factory all your gifts can get personalized. How cool!
Sostrene Grene: this Danish interior valhalla opened its first store in the Netherlands last year. Throughout the whole year you can go here for fine items for the home and also for Christmas they got everything you want!
Hudson’s Bay: The new Hudson’s bay needs a spot in this list. A clean, inspirational and a greedy store. It’s time to break your piggy bank, because you probably can’t resist buying something else for yourself. think of a glittery dress, beautiful high heels or make-up?
