Authentic Turkish food from the Anatolian grill at Ali Ocakbaşı Amsterdam
When we say “let’s grab some food at the Turk” we usually think of the Turkish pizza, shawarma or kebab. But obviously the Turkish kitchen has way more to offer! Restaurant Ali Ocakbaşı in Amsterdam is recommended. A new Turkish restaurant at the corner of the Utrechtsestraat and Herengracht. And it looks really nice by the way. A lot of brick, wood and blue-white decorated tiles as the accent. A perfect location in the City Center for a dinner date ;-).
I think the Arab cuisine is so amazing. I especially like dishes with eggplant. I loooove eggplant. And at Ali Ocakbaşı they sure know how to cook that. A quick glance over their menu and you can see that they have a lot of eggplant dishes. Just the way I like it! The desserts also sound very delicious. I’m personally veeery addicted to baklava (so bad I know!). But the künefe doesn’t look bad either. Oven baked kadaifi with molten cheese center. Topped with syrup and pistache powder. Aah, I’m so curious about it all!
Did you know dat Ali Ocakbaşı is already located at three spots in Istanbul? Now we don’t need to go on a citytrip anymore now they’re at the Utrechtsestraat as well!
