Sir Albert Hotel Amsterdam: home away from home

24 January 2014

Step into the world of Sir Albert at Sir Albert hotel in Amsterdam

De Pijp is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Amsterdam. And that’s exactly the district where the beautiful Sir Albert Hotel is located. A beautiful building of a former diamond factory in Amsterdam that is turned into a luxury boutique hotel little over a year ago. At the Sir Albert Hotel you will feel at home immediately. At check-in you’re offered a glass of bubbly or any other drink and the staff is there to give you the best experience in Amsterdam and De Pijp possible.

The rooms at the Sir Albert Hotel are beautiful. We had a huge bath tub in the middle of our room. I loved it! What’s better than taking a bath in the morning while talking about last night with your love who’s still in bed. Super romantic! The rooms are decorated with design furniture and warm details. Crispy white bedsheets and even a pillow service! The bathroom is luxurious and offers all you need during your stay.

I’m a huge fan of restaurant Izakaya which is located in the Sir Albert Hotel. It’s the best Asian restaurant in Amsterdam (voted by Your Little Black Book) and offers a wide range of dishes that are perfect for sharing. I would highly recommend to reserve a table at Izakaya if you’re staying at the hotel! The bar is also perfect to go for cocktails or mocktails. Their Bloody Mary is great!

In the morning the breakfast is served at Izakaya. You can order delicious plates made to order or enjoy the buffet with a wide choice o breads, cereals and fresh fruit. Everything you need to gain new energy for a day discovering new hotspots in Amsterdam.

What I really liked about the Sir Albert Hotel is that Sir Albert had a Little Black Book of his own. He shares his favourite places in the neighbourhood of the hotel with you to make sure that you have a great time. I noticed that Sir Albert and I have the same taste when it comes to good food and shopping. Discover all the favourite addresses at De Pijp here!
