3 x skating rinks in amsterdam for some variation

Jaap Edenbaan: The Jaap Eden skating rink is thé ice rink of Amsterdam where you can really develop your skating skills. A 400-meter track where you can skate quite a few rounds without having to deal with children, skating dummies and other craziness. You can also drink some hot chocolate or mulled wine at the always cozy Cafe Jaap!

ICE Amsterdam at the Museum square: Get your skates out of the basement, the skating rink on the Museumplein is back! ICE Amsterdam is better known as the skating rink on Museumplein. And just like the Parade in the summer, this skating rink is surely the fixed prick during the winter. It’s enjoying some real Dutch skating fun, with the ‘Magere Brug’ as a connection over the ice rink and a phenomenal view of the museums and concert hall.

De Amsterdamse Winterparade: De Amsterdamse Winterparade is the new Christmas market of Amsterdam in the RAI. Here too they have a skating rink where there is more to do than just ‘skating’. The skating rink is no less than 700 m2 and there are several parcours and slides to try out. In addition to being able to skate, you can go curling at Club Knijn, go to a Silent Disco on skates with Vondel Disco and even take part in the chair dance on ice. Ps: the skating rink is free if you bring your own skates, although you can also rent them here.

Fancy a cheese platter after ice skating? These are our favourite spots in Amsterdam for having a cheese platter.
