A MUST-SEE HOTSPOT IN THESSALONIKI'S HIP VALAORITOU DISTRICT
The Valaoritou district isn't just known for its abundance of street art. It's also bursting with charming restaurants and bars. Especially at the end of the day and in the evening, the district comes alive. A side street off Valaoritou Street boasts several narrow streets with plenty of great hotspots. Elia Lemoni (also known as Olive Lemon in English) is a modern Greek taverna with a pleasant terrace that's out of this world. Thessaloniki City Guide can't be missed. Inside the colorful interior, the large olive tree is the eye-catcher of the place.

The menu at Elia Lemoni in Thessaloniki (aka Olive Lemon) features authentic Greek dishes with a modern twist. Think mezze for sharing, but the signature dish is the pork or spit-roasted casserole. I think Elia Lemoni is a great place to have drinks at the end of the day and then linger until the evening. You can then hop from bar to bar, sharing a delicious mezze, and try out all the great spots in the area, like Coq Au Zen and Gaspard Wine Bar.
