Johannesburg, Jo'burg, Jozi. A city with many catchy names but unfortunately a less appealing image, which is precisely why I wanted to create this Johannesburg City Guide. Of course, it's always wise to be mindful when traveling, but we believe this image is completely wrong! Jozi is known among locals as the vibrant business heart of South Africa and is even compared in terms of atmosphere to the city that never sleeps: New York. Completely different from, say, Cape Town. The city has a raw edge and is home to a wealth of cool street art! The Maboneng and Newtown neighborhoods are full of the most beautiful murals.

This city is packed with hotspots, but if you're looking for trendy restaurants, cool art galleries, and rooftop bars, head to Maboneng Preninct. Braam Fontein is also a must-see, where you can even sip a cocktail on a rooftop terrace with your feet in the sand!
