Canggu Travel Tips

It's wonderful to spend time in the hippie town of Canggu. Enjoy a fresh young coconut on one of the beaches along its 8-kilometer coastline while watching the sun set over the ocean. The sand here is unique because it's dark gray or black. The sea can be quite rough, making it more popular with surfers than swimmers. After a long day at the beach, you can enjoy delicious fresh seafood grilled at one of the cozy stalls on the boulevard. Trendy boutiques and eateries are scattered throughout Canggu; there's no distinct main road here, and the streets are spread far apart. Therefore, it's recommended to rent a scooter and explore on your own.

A great, budget-friendly place to stay is Serinity Eco Guesthouse, right next to Echo Beach. Fancy a cocktail and a dance on Saturday night? Old Men's Canggu is the place to be!
