Thuis Aan De Amstel Amsterdam: drink and bites hotspot!

20 May 2014

Great sunset with bar bites at Thuis Aan De Amstel

Another new hotspot in Amsterdam East: Thuis Aan De Amstel! A great place to go for lunch, coffee or drinks and bites with a beautiful view over the river Amstel. Thuis Aan De Amstel is located in the former house of the director of the Zuidergasfabriek. I didn’t know that Amsterdam East had a mini area like the Westergasfabriek. It’s the plan to renovate this whole area and make it a new cultural spot. Love that idea!

Thuis Aan De Amstel has a huge sunny patio and it’s a great spot to look at all the boats sailing by on a sunny day. This is also a spot where you can stop to get some snacks for the boat (tip!). I went to Thuis Aan De Amstel for some lazy Sunday afternoon drinks. Enjoying the sun and the bar bites menu with tasty snacks. The sausages of goose are a must try and are made especially for Thuis Aan De Amstel by Wateetons. Very good!
