The Grand Daddy Hotel is a perfect stay on Long Street in Cape Town!
Imagine… sleeping at the Grand Daddy Hotel in Cape Town in an Airstream trailer on a rooftop terrace! Sounds cool right? All trailers are decorated in a unique way and have their own themes with a twist of local regions. I stayed at the Grand Daddy Hotel in the Karoo trailer! With lots of blue and a windmill.
The rooftop terrace is the place to be on the weekends to have a drink. So the trailers are not the best place for people who like to go to bed early. For night owls like me it’s a perfect fit though. Also cool: the Grand Daddy Hotel hosts rooftop cinema nights. Make sure to check the agenda when you’re in Cape Town!

The Grand Daddy Hotel is a nice (and affordable!) boutique hotel in Cape Town. The rooms are nice, but it’s much more fun to sleep at one of the rooftop trailers like I did. From the cocktails at the rooftop you can just jump straight into bed if you want too ;-). The view over Cape Town is also great from the Grand Daddy Hotel!

As a solo traveller I just have to take a selfie once in a while! This is my trailer at the Gand Daddy Hotel. Cute right? The sunnies and bag are from Toms (a fashion brand that does great things returning help to communities in Africa for every item you buy!).

The location of the Grand Daddy Hotel is soooo perfect! This boutique hotel is located right at Long Street. This is THE main street of Cape Town. Here you find many cool restaurants (like Royal Eatery for juicy burgers, Yours Truly the #1 coffee bar, Orchard On Long for fresh juices and superfood and Dear Me for the best vegan food of Cape Town). Long Street is also great for shopping souvenirs and clothes. Or check out the Waterfront for shopping which is only a few minutes walk from the Grand Daddy Hotel.
