the best and most beautiful places for yoga in amsterdam

Stress!! Everyone knows the problem. To travel is, of course, my number one cure for this phenomenon. Unfortunately, we can’t always just leave town for a beautiful trip. That’s why a relaxing yoga session is my number two favourite. It’s a getaway from this busy city and I can just relax, simply with some yoga in Amsterdam. Maybe you think yoga isn’t your thing because you have to be agile? NO! You’re wrong! Most of the yoga centers offer different programs so everyone is able to practice this hobby. So, there’s just one thing left to do: find your perfect yoga club in Amsterdam.

8 x great options for yoga schools in Amsterdam

yoga

Yogafest: In a beautiful historic building near Westerpark this yoga school opened the doors in the fall of 2016. They host teachers from all over the world for special classes and have several rooms for practice. Also nice: this yogaschool has a great vegan restaurant in-house where you can have a healthy breakfast or lunch! Also when you don’t go for yoga you’re welcome for food and drinks.

Delight Yoga: Plenty of choice at the wonderful studios of Delight Yoga. Everybody is welcome 24/7 thanks to the diverse yoga programs. After class, you can afterglow with a nice cup of tea. There are several locations in Amsterdam so chances are one is near you!

Absolute Yoga: Would you like to combine pleasure with the useful? If so, Absolute Yoga is it for you. They offer ‘hot & sweaty yoga classes’, bikram yoga. You burn extra calories with this, but it takes some effort as all the positions are done in a room that’s 40°C.

Secret Yoga Club: This is a great one for the adventurous yogis. This ‘club’ thinks it’s too boring to be in the same studio every time. Therefore they always practice their favorite hobby in different places. Become a ‘secret yogi’ yourself and discover their next spot!

Volksyoga: Yoga with a view! It’s so much better to exercise outside. Add a wonderful view to it and the experience can’t get better. At Volksyoga, you can practice this sport on the rooftop of the Volkshotel. In the morning or in the evening? That’s up to you! But we assure you’ll have an unique experience!

Studio 191: Something for everybody at Studio 191. It will be really hard to choose a favorite because of the unique approach of every lesson. Our favorite is ‘Beats Yoga’. Get your booty shaken on the funky beats while you’re twisting your body in different positions. But it’s so much fun! This is the best way to start your Sunday!

Tula Amsterdam: This yoga studio now has 2 locations in the West of Amsterdam. It’s a small, but pretty yoga school with lots of personal attention. They offer several types of yoga, even for pregnant women and for 55 years and over, but the main focus is on Yin, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga.

Hot Flow Yoga: This yoga studio offers bikram yoga at several locations in Amsterdam. The studios are being heated by infrared radiations, which also has a positive effect on your muscles. So that’s a win-win situation! They now have locations in the Jordaan, Rivierenbuurt and Old South.
