Yoepz Amsterdam: chicken and lobster in De Pijp

6 April 2016

the surf and turf at Yoepz Amsterdam you want to taste

When I was having dinner with my lover at Youpz Amsterdam last week, I hesitated a long time. A whole lobster (OEH LALA) or the surf and turf. Yoepz is a chicken and lobster restaurant and as you’ve maybe expected the surf and turf isn’t served with steak but with half a chicken. And ever since my personal trainer is making me a lot of protein, chicken has become my best friend when I’m going out for dinner. The interior at Yoepz Amsterdam looks nice. Wooden tables, black chairs. A little industrial but cozy. It’s the restaurant you’ll go to when you want to dine with friends and have a nice dinner, but don’t want to be broke.

Also, Yoepz is a great place to go just for drinks, because the bites and bar food are delicious here! Believe me when I say you definitely want to try the lobster croquettes. Mmm! Served with lemon mayonnaise. Also order the bread with the lobster ailoi, please do, because you won’t stop eating that one. The portions at this restaurant are quite large, so share your starters with your date. My lover went all in and chose the whole lobster, which looked super good. Served with fries and coleslaw. The surf and turf I would order again next time. With three different sauces from spicy to chimichurri for the chicken and béarnaise or lemon mayo to go with the lobster.

Yoepz is in the same building as Brouwerij Troost and near by our favourites The Meets and Volt.

And did you know that there’s also a Yoepz in Utrecht?
