People who go to New York often ask me for tips. What places shouldn't they miss? I always say, "Go to Brooklyn!" And right after that, I mention Williamsburg. Williamsburg is one of Brooklyn's hipster neighborhoods. It's a truly relaxed area with shops, lots of restaurants, and bars. It's also expensive. We often hear from locals that residents even move back to Manhattan because renting an apartment there is sometimes cheaper.
Anyway, one of the hotspots high on the list I'm sending them is the Wythe Hotel at 80 Wythe Ave. in Brooklyn.
Have a drink during sunset at The IdesThis rooftop bar on the roof of The Wythe Hotel is often very busy, so make sure you arrive early. Be aware that you'll have to wait in line, but it usually moves quite quickly. The view of Manhattan is superb.
The restaurant Reynards It's on the ground floor. It seems like a great spot for brunch or lunch.

So definitely go here. You might even have enough budget to get a room here...
