18 x work spots in Amsterdam with free wifi

22 June 2016

The nicest work spots in Amsterdam with free wifi for freelancers!

Are you always on the look out for hotspots in Amsterdam where they have free wifi? As a freelancer I work outside the office a lot but I don’t always want to end up at the same spot. That’s why I try out a lot of different (new) coffee bars and lunchrooms where you can get good coffee, have a nice lunch, where it’s quiet to work and where they have (fast) wifi. I’ve seen a lot of spots by now, so I will share my favourite 18 x work spots in Amsterdam with free wifi with you!

Hutspot | work spots in Amsterdam

The popular concept store Hutspot on the Van Woustraat is still a nice spot to work. My favourite because there is always a relaxed and creative vibe, and because I can’t work without my yoghurt with-granola-and-fruit breakfast! And I’m fan of their coffee. Besides that, no-one will look weird at you when you open up your laptop or pull out your books on the table to sit and work whole day. Ask for the wifi code and go! Don’t forget to take a break every now and than to have a look around at all the nice items they sell at Hutspot ;-)

STROOM | WORK SPOTS IN AMSTERDAM

Have you ever dreamed of a workspace in the middle of De Pijp? Yes? Well, you’ve just found it. Stroom has the perfect ambiance to sit with your laptop or books and has delicious coffee too. We love this new hotspot already. Extra advantage: the Wi-Fi works perfectly!

The Student Hotel | WORK SPOTS IN AMSTERDAM

This former club is now transformed to The Student Hotel. They have ideal workstations with awesome lounge chairs and, not unimportant: good coffee. Extra fun; if you want to relax a bit, you can play table tennis or enjoy the view from their rooftop. And after that, we go back to business of course ;)

Zoku | WORK SPOTS IN AMSTERDAM

We love this place! It is so cozy that it almost feels like your own living room. They have healthy snacks to keep focus and there are several places where you can sit wit your books or laptop. The best part of this hotel is the bar: it is a shared workspace. How awesome!

Volkshotel Amsterdam

Werkplaats | Work spots in Amsterdam

Do you know Werkplaats? The co-working space in the Volkshotel in Amsterdam East! Here you can use one of the flex spots and free wifi. Do you have a meeting and need a bit of privacy? You can make use of one of the work cabins! On your lunch break or after a long day at work it’s only a few steps to the bar where they happily pour you a drink or make you a delicious flammkuchen. Sounds like the perfect work spot in Amsterdam, right?

COFFEE & JUICES | Work spots IN AMSTERDAM

In West we found a new workplace gem: Coffee & Juices! Take a seat at the wooden tables, order a cup of coffee or fresh juice, open laptop and get things done! I’m a fan of this place because there’s a very warm, nice atmosphere. But also because you can have lunch in the afternoon with delicious semi-healthy sandwiches.

The Pool Amsterdam

Generator | WORK SPOTS IN AMSTERDAM

If you like bright colors and natural light, then this is definitely a workspace for you. We love the high windows and bright colors on the walls. And when it’s time for a break, we like to go for a walk in the park near by the hotel or enjoy one of the delicious sandwiches on their menu. The one with eggs and avocado is delicious! Truly a win for the work spots in Amsterdam!

Vinnies | work spots in Amsterdam

It’s always a bit noisy inside, but Vinnies in the Haarlemmerbuurt is still one of my favourite work spots. I just can’t get enough of all the healthy meals on the menu! And yes, the wifi is free and yes, there is a long table to sit at. Besides that, it’s always a good idea to work in the middle of the city so friends can come by for a coffee ;-).

Meneer en Mevrouw Keus Amsterdam

Meneer en Mevrouw Keus | work spots in Amsterdam

Less well known but also a nice spot to work is Meneer en Mevrouw Keus. This lunchroom is also a caterer where you can get delicious organic food. You will get hungry by looking at all the delicious things they make, but it is a nice and quiet spot to work, where I can concentrate on my work very well. And is the sun out? In my break I will drink a coffee, sitting on the wooden scaffolding bench.

Not to miss on our list with nice work spots: White Label Coffee in De Baarsjes! Go sit at the front and watch how locals walk in and out for a good cup of coffee.  Or sit in the back of the coffee spot, where it is more quiet and there is more space to work.
