Shopping in Maastricht: Stokstraat, Rechtstraat, and Heggenstraat. >> Shops in Maastricht

Shopping in Maastricht, love it!

Maastricht is only a two-hour drive from Amsterdam, yet you feel like you're in a different world. I always feel like I'm abroad, anyway. Another great thing: Maastricht is fantastic for shopping! There are so many small boutiques with beautiful brands... it's a real shopping spree ;-). Near the Vrijthof and the Grote Markt, you'll find all the big chains like Zara and H&M. The narrow side streets are much more fun! My favorite streets for shopping in Maastricht are Stokstraat, Rechtstraat, and Heggenstraat. They're marked in coral pink on the map!

1) Shopping in Maastricht – Heggenstraat

Between Platielstraat / Achter het Vleeshuis and the Bredestraat you will find the Heggenstraat. The Hedge Street This is the trendiest shopping street in the city center. It's a great place to shop in Maastricht if you love vintage! It's a charming, narrow street lined with vintage shops like Retro & Chic and Traders Pop, both with a good but very different collection of vintage clothing. After shopping, it's great to have coffee at Take 5!

My favorite addresses in Heggenstraat are: Retro and Chic (beautiful feminine vintage), Traders Pop (clothing, postcards and books and vintage), Girls (ladies designer boutique) , Take 5 (from coffee to cocktails)

2) Shopping in Maastricht – Stokstraat

Stokstraat is all about expensive labels! Name a high-fashion brand, and there's sure to be a boutique selling it on Stokstraat. This is the street for high-end shopping in Maastricht!

My favorite addresses in Stokstraat are: Kiki Niesten (from Marni to Miu Miu) and Stylesuite Femme (from Burberry to Zadig & Voltaire)

3) Shopping in Maastricht – Rechtstraat

Rechtstraat is located in the trendy Wyck (Wiek) neighborhood. If you take the train to Maastricht (direct connection from Amsterdam!), it's one of the first shopping streets you encounter on your way to the city center. If you're looking for unique items for yourself or your home, you'll find plenty here. Many specialty shops offer delicatessen, books, and antiques. Rechtstraat also boasts numerous art dealers and interior design boutiques.

My favorite addresses in Rechtstraat are: Concept Maastricht (nice concept store), Tatz (retro), Wings & Reins (fair trade) and restaurant "O" (HMMM au fruit de mere).
