When I book a hotel for a weekend getaway, one of the first things I check is whether they have a spa or sauna. For those who like to combine wellness with greenery and want to keep the city within easy reach, this is a great option. Located on the edge of the Amsterdam Forest, this spot feels surprisingly peaceful, while the city center is just a short bike ride away. At Hotel & Wellness Zuiver, you can book an overnight stay including access to the extensive wellness facilities, which have been recently renovated and are completely child-free. Good to know: swimwear is mandatory in this wellness area. You can always make use of the saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, steam room, and fitness center, with the option to book an extra massage or hammam.

Outside, you can relax by the pond or take a walk at the beach, which is just a few kilometers away. An added bonus is Blooming Beach, the accompanying beach bar with good food, a casual atmosphere, and even hot tubs. There is also plenty to do for active guests, from surfing to SUPing.

A truly special experience! Afterwards, relax further in the aroma sauna, sea mist steam bath, or the high spa, and pull up a chair for dinner at restaurant Gusta in the evening.
