Volt Amsterdam: gastro bar at the Ferdinand Bolstraat

11 November 2014

Volt is thé perfect neighbourhood bar at De PiJp

There are hotspots who earn an update every now and then. And Volt is definitely one of them! At Yourlbb we a big fan of this gastro bar on the Ferdinand Bol. And we are not the only ones: every evening this bar runs full of people who come to eat a bite or enjoy a drink.

The place is renewed late 2014 and ever since a popular spot in the neighbourhood. Is it the warm and cozy design? Is it the relaxed atmosphere and nice staff? Is it because of the good food, the (special) beers or G&T’s? As you can hear (well, read)…. Volt has it all.

Interior X Volt Amsterdam

The interior shows a mix of a vintage and industrial look. At Yourlbb we love it. A sturdy and sleek design, with the coziness of vintage elements. Here you can hang at the bar for a drink (although I personally like to have a bite at the bar as well), take a seat at the wooden tables of fight for a spot at their terrace when it’s sunny weather.

The menu x volt amsterdam

On the menu are organic dishes inspired by French cuisine. Extra fun: the menu changes regularly! Think of dishes like squid, vegetarian lasagna, a salad, burger, bavette, risotto or grilled fish. Affordable, because a main dish costs no more than 20 euro, but oh so tasty!

However, always on the menu are the oysters. And I always order them. Just like the mini croquettes with prawns and the cheese sticks. Tastes just too delicious with a cocktail or glass of wine! But you’re also at the right place here if you are a beer lover: Volt has a wide range of (special) beers from local breweries. And let’s not forget the extensive Gin & Tonic menu. So, is there anything missing at Volt? Nothing, if you ask me. And that is why we are so fond of this gastro bar at the Ferdinand Bol.
