Visaandeschelde Amsterdam: pearl in Old-South

18 September 2014

Visaandeschelde, for seafood lovers!

Dinner or lunch at Visaandeschelde at the Scheldestraat in Old-South was on my list for years. I LOVE seafood! A few weeks ago me and my love had lunch there. Perfect way to kick off the weekend. We started with a glass of bubbly! It almost felt like date night. And I have to say… a 3 course lunch is a great change to the usual Friday night dinner!

The menu at Visaandeschelde

If you’re looking for a very good seafood restaurant in Amsterdam then Visaandeschelde is a must go. They serve the most beautiful plates which are not only good looking but taste delicious a swell. The sommelier will make sure that you taste the best food and wine pairings. Chef Arjan Wennekes does a great job surprising you with the modern twist added to the dishes.

Modern navy!

I really like the interior design at Visaandeschelde. It’s modern and classy. Not the typical interior for a seafood restaurant.  When the weather is nice I highly recommend eating at the outdoor patio. Close your eyes and it will feel like you’re eating at a seafood bistro in Paris!

I think Visaandeschelde is perfect if you have something to celebrate. Like a family dinner or a special night out with your love.

I can’t wait to go back to Visaandeschelde when my parents are in Amsterdam next time. As true seafood lovers from Zeeland they have to experience a lunch or dinner there too!
