Vegan Amsterdam East: from now on this (delicious!) vegan restaurant is located in East

Have you already spotted this new restaurant in Amsterdam East on Wibautstraat? Chances are you already know Veganees from its location in West, where Café Komeet (under the same ownership) has opened. But vegan lovers won't be disappointed, with this new location serving equally delicious vegan and Asian food.

Atmosphere and interior at Veganees Amsterdam East

Veganees is a unique concept where sustainability is central. This is reflected not only in the plant-based menu, but also in the use of sustainable and natural materials in the interior. The interior is largely made of light wood, with a generous number of bright color accents that evoke the origins of the dishes. The new restaurant has a whopping eighty (!) seats and a sunny terrace.

Menu and dishes at Veganees

This vegan Southeast Asian restaurant's menu features delicious street food from various countries (including Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand), all plant-based. Expect colorful dishes perfect for sharing, from bites to bao buns and from stir-fries to curries. The steamed wontons are a favorite, but the nameko noodles are also a must-try. And if you're feeling particularly hungry (or hungover), you absolutely must try a bao bun—it's guaranteed to be a hit.

If you're having a hard time choosing, opt for the "favorites menu," which offers the bestsellers in a smaller size. Naturally, you'll enjoy matching cocktails with these, such as Mango Madness or Strawberry Fields Forever.

The new location also serves lunch, including sweets like Japanese pancakes and chocolate brownies, and of course, various flavors of mochi.

Vegan is perfect for an evening with friends

If you dine at Veganees, you'll want to order the entire menu. That's why it's a good idea to visit with a group of friends. That way, you can sample as many of their delicacies as possible! Veganees Amsterdam Oost is also a great place to visit with colleagues for lunch.

Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢 Straight from the airport to this little spot to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉
Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away. During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies alike, where there is plenty to do. · A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea. · Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round. · Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting. · Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold now, but there is plenty to do. · The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!). Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { In this post, I share tips for the Ebro Delta in Spain (Delta de l'Ebre).
