Romantic things-to-do on Valentine’s Day in Amsterdam

Love is in the air! It’s almost Valentine’s day and here at Yourlbb HQ we’re planning fun things to do with our dates and lovers. Here and there we were already asked for a Valentine’s list so dear readers, here is one! We selected the most romantic things-to-do on Valentine’s Day in Amsterdam 2017. Enjoy!

27 things to do – VALENTINE’S DAY IN AMSTERDAM 2017

The Duchess: the afternoon tea from The Duchess is one of the best in Amsterdam and for Valentine’s Day they made a special Afternoon Tea with 20 spectacular tea flavours and of course a glass of bubbly.  You can book the ‘Valentea’ at The Duchess tearoom between February 8 and 14.

Jazz voorstelling: Are you both a big fan of jazz music? The talented Sazz Leonore is giving a Valentine’s concert at the North Sea Jazz Club. Her soulful voice will put both of you in a romantic mood.

Bootje varen: My idea of romance: sailing through the canals of Amsterdam! Don’t forget to make a stop under the Skinny Bridge to give each other a kiss; the story says that you’ll stay together forever…

Concert gebouw: At the Concert Gebouw you can enjoy Valentine classics at the Movies. Or better said: our favorite love songs from movies like the Titanic, Sleeping Beauty, and When Harry met Sally will be played. How romantic!

Hoxton: Not really in the mood to watch a movie? Follow a leather craft workshopt with your lover. It’s time to get creative!

One day marriage: Want to get married for one day and be divorced after midnight? It’s possible! And no, you don’t have to fly all the way to Las Vegas. Let’s get married in Amsterdam.

Ballet: Surprise your lover with a romantic evening of ballet. The National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam presents the ballet Scenic Route. If you’re on a budget you can join a free lunchtime concert in the lobby of the National Opera & Ballet.

Street art tour: Also nice to do: a street art tour true Amsterdam! Discover the coolest places in the city center of Amsterdam.

Massage: Looking for some relaxation? Go to the Massagehuys! Have an Oriental massage and you and your love will be totally zen for the rest of the day!

Pllek: At Pllek the movie Tanna will be played. Do you want to stay for dinner? That’s possible for €39,50 (with movie and drink).

Anna Nina: Take your lover to Anna Nina this year and give her a nice necklace or bracelet. She’s going to be really happy, believe us ;-)

Carriage and horse: Isn’t it romantic to sit in a carriage with horses and drive along the canals of Amsterdam?

Michelin-star restaurants: Are you one for big surprises? Then go to a star restaurant! Take your lover to Ron Gastrobar of Ron Blauw for example, where you can choose from small, delicious dishes. My favourite way of dining. Or make a reservation at Waldorf Astoria hotel and enjoy at Librije’s sister from an international menu.
