Looking for a gem of a holiday home in France with a swimming pool? Look no further, because I have found one together with Gites.nl ten listed for you. Enjoy a carefree holiday in complete privacy and security after checking in at your villa and then taking a dip in your own private pool. Especially with little kids Or for a family vacation (you'll have grandparents to babysit if you want to go out for dinner), a holiday home in France with a pool is better than a hotel. It's also a great idea to do with another family, of course, because most of the holiday homes I'll recommend in this blog are large enough to host friends and family.

Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢
Straight from the airport to this little place to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉 <3
In Taipei, you go to a Soy Milk Shop for breakfast. Warm soy milk to eat in a bowl, and steam baskets with the tastiest dumplings and baozi. You can really wake me up for this kind of breakfast. These local breakfast spots come in all shapes and sizes, from Michelin-recommended spots to hole-in-the-wall stalls.
Most soy milk shops open early (and sometimes even 24 hours a day), and these are the dishes you want to try:
🥄 Warm soy milk
🥢 Soup dumplings (you can often choose between pork and veggies)
🥢 Pork baozi
🥢 Youtiao (油條 - a kind of fried donut stick)
🥢 Youtiao (油條) w/ pork floss & rice
🥢 Turnip cake
🥢 Chives pancake
🥢 Scallion pancake
TIP: Sharing is a good idea to taste as much as possible, because the portions are (often) large.
You'll want to remember these soy milk shops for your future trip to Taipei:
📍Fuhang Soy Milk
📍Soy Milk Shop
📍Yong He Soya Milk King (Da'an)
📍Sihai Soy Milk
I am currently touring Taiwan, and you can also find all the tips in my Stories Highlight.
Have you ever been to Taiwan? I'm curious if you thought it was *that* amazing!

Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away.
During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies, where there is plenty to do.
• A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea.
· Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round.
· Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting.
Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold right now, but there is plenty to do.
• The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!).
Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure.

Villa Seillans (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): While searching for the most beautiful holiday homes with a pool in France, I thought about all the finds in this blog post... how wonderful it would be if this were your home. Luckily, you and I can experience that feeling too, because Villa Seillans is available for weekly rentals. The holiday home consists of a large villa (160 m² for 6 people) and a separate studio (40 m² for 2 people). You can rent both, but don't worry: if you only rent the villa, the studio remains empty. So you have all the privacy you need for a wonderful holiday with your own family, friends, or the whole extended family. If you have a small child, for example, the privacy of the studio can sometimes be very welcome. The villa has three bedrooms and bathrooms and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday (including Wi-Fi). The house is nestled among the pine trees (that smell, I love it!) on 2000 m² of private grounds with a private pool, lawn, and a large terrace with a lounge set and hammocks. Perfect for kids to play or just relax. In the area you will find, among other things, 'Lac de Cassien' and numerous nice markets where you can get delicious local cheeses and meats, and restaurants from French bistros to Michelin stars.

Villa Babette (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): Another picture perfect spot where I'd love to move in and write my next book. Absolute peace and quiet! A lovely pool to cool off in, and just two kilometers from the ancient village of Callas. Villa Babette is a charming Provençal villa with modern furnishings on a 4000m² property. It sleeps eight people and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Isn't it wonderful to wake up in the morning, opening the doors to the partially covered terrace for your first cup of coffee?

Villa Emilie (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): Villa Emilie is a luxurious, stately villa set on a 60.000m² property. A long driveway leads to the gate. Beyond, you'll find a beautiful garden with a swimming pool, a large covered terrace with a long dining table, an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, and several seating areas for enjoying the outdoors. This delightful holiday home sleeps eight to ten and is fully equipped. The villa boasts many large windows, making it very bright, and all rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The surrounding area is pleasant and diverse. Lorgues attracts many visitors from abroad (both French and international) thanks to its weekly Tuesday morning market. It's the largest market in the region. The area also boasts numerous wine chateaux and the famous Provençal markets.

Villa Marilove (Midi-Pyrénées): Loft Style Boutique Villa Marilove is a wonderfully bright holiday home in the South of France. Modern, stylish, and featuring a jacuzzi where you can enjoy a glass of fine French wine or champagne. The house sleeps six and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The large double sliding doors immediately create a feeling of outdoor living, with the large (partially covered) terrace leading directly into the living room. Enjoy al fresco dining, sunbathing, or swimming in the large private infinity pool, and you'll start to wonder what else you could possibly want during your holiday. Delicious restaurants nearby? That's the great advantage of France. You rarely go wrong here, and in the surrounding area, you'll find several restaurants serving the finest local ingredients. The owners are happy to recommend their local gems!

Les Auzieres (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): How lovely is the pool at this holiday home in the South of France? Imagine relaxing there under the olive trees during your holiday. You can check in with your whole family or friends, as it sleeps fifteen people with twelve fixed beds and an extra bed chair. With six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a lovely large dining table, it's perfect for extended meals. There's a courtyard for al fresco dining, and the lovely pool provides a welcome cool-down. If you'd like to book this house during the low season with a smaller occupancy, the owners will adjust the rate accordingly.

La Bergerie (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): How adorable is this villa? It's nestled in a rural setting in southern France, on the edge of the village of Callas, accessible on foot via a hiking trail. Peace and quiet, yet the ability to explore without needing a car. La Bergerie is an authentic villa surrounded by olive trees that has been fully modernized. The villa sleeps eight adults and two small children (cribs and trip-trap chairs are available). The heated swimming pool offers a refreshing dip for all ages from early April to late October. There's a well-equipped kitchen with a large cooktop and two ovens. Perfect for cooking enthusiasts who enjoy using local ingredients!

Villa Francois (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): The Provençal village of Lorgues is a winner when it comes to beautiful holiday homes. This holiday home is situated in a beautiful setting with ancient olive trees, on a whopping 10.000m² of grounds. All the privacy and tranquility you could wish for. Feeling active? Villa Francois is about a 45-minute drive from the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon. But simply relaxing by the private pool is also an option. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it's a lovely house for up to six people. A cot and high chair are also provided. Dogs are also welcome. The village of Lorgues is just two kilometers from the house and is a great place to alternate between home-cooked dinners and local restaurants.

Les Délices du Sud (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): Perfect with small children, thanks to the enclosed, heated pool! Les Délices du Sud is a lovely house for 8 people (maximum 9 people with a baby) with four bedrooms, all with air conditioning, and three bathrooms. From the house, which sits on 2600m², you have a beautiful view of the valley and the Estello wine estate. This house is just 1 km from the center of the charming village of Lorgues, with restaurants, a supermarket, and authentic French specialty shops. Restaurant Bruno in Lorgues, known as "the king of truffles," is highly recommended. There are charming terraces in a medieval setting where you can relax with a glass of rosé. The beach and sea at St. Maxime, where I spent my holiday last summer, are just 45 minutes away.

© Les delices du sud – Gites.nl
Villa La Coquille (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur): Domaine Les Demeures du Luc is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Provence: just 2 kilometers from the picturesque Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and 4 kilometers from the equally beautiful Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The city of Avignon is 24 km from the house. There's plenty to do in the area. Of course, the villa's pool is also a wonderful place to relax. The villa sleeps up to eight people and features a spacious living room with a separate dining area. There are four bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms, and a separate toilet. The house is located on a villa park, and you can also enjoy free use of facilities such as the tennis court.

© Villa la coquile – gites.nl
Villa Elise (Côte d'Azur): This beautiful eight-person villa features a heated outdoor pool, making it a wonderful place to swim laps even in the morning. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the villa is perfectly suited for up to eight people, including a baby. This house inland on the Côte d'Azur is perfect for complete relaxation. Wi-Fi is available for those who absolutely can't live without it. It's nestled in nature and overlooks a valley. Yet, the beaches of Frejus and St. Tropez are only 35 km from the villa. In the surrounding area, you'll find a variety of vintage wines.chateaus, where you can taste and buy wine almost anywhere at the chateau. The villa is situated on a winding road, with the village of Lorgues just three kilometers away. There you'll find a bakery, butcher, fishmonger, several supermarkets, terraces, and a restaurant.
